| Dont know how long the Cyclones are at the spot in the Kenwood mall, but I think something like that should be done for the Montreal Canadiens Night or for Nascar Night. GO TWISTER :) |

Here is another thought for a promotion.Take two of the local high school hockey
teams and play their game before the regular game.The hook is EACH SCHOOL will get
$1 for each ticket sold for that game and the Cyclones game.The more they get come,
the more they get!If we had 3000 fans buy full price tickets,each school will get
$3000 and the Cyclones get more fans in the house,more people buying concessions,
and besides the money,the high school players get a chance to play in the arena.Even
if you discounted the student bought tickets,a good crowd is still a big plus for us. |

| They will have to do something to again pack the house for NASCAR night. I remember that last season every Home Depot was giving away tickets to the game because Matt Kenseth (who drived the Home Depot car) was going to be the driver there and there was a good attendance. |

| UC played a hockey game before the Clones game on the 21st of Oct, but we had about 20 people show up for that, haha. It didn't go over well, people aren't real fond of sitting around the rink for hours because there's unfortunately an ECHL rule about the ice not being used for 90 minutes before the start of an ECHL game. |

Twister has been given the idea direct. Great find!
As for the 90-minute rule, it kinda blows pre-game stuff but it is needed for any last-minute ice maintenance and preparation. It's good to get the ice in as good of shape as possible before it gets all chewed up by the game.
But a UC game AFTER a Cyclones game might be cool. Their games are usually late anyway. They would have to sell beer, and other concessions, and beer. Even if only one stand was open it would suffice.
The team would have to sell a certain number of tickets to get the ice, but everyone would be invited to stay and cheer them on.
Somebody from the UC team, or Xavier's club team (or maybe them playing each other - a new cross-town shootout!), or NKU playing either one, whatever. But I think the push should come from the team wanting the ice. |

| I know guys from both UC and Xavier's club teams, and for some reason those two are bass ackwards and can't seem to get a matchup together. I'm like come onnnn, it would be perfect. Especially after a 'Clones game. They (UC) don't play late anymore (I gave up working their games because they play earlier now than they used to and I'd rather see the Clones...) which is a shame (X & NKU still love them some 10pm games), but I think your idea would work out really well for them. They used to play after the Ducks back in 04-05, and they'd have a small chunk of people stay after just to check it out, it was kinda nice. |

Did anyone see the Cyclones commercial for NASCAR night during the Steelers/Ravens game sunday? It was pretty good, featuring a "Its hockey season" theme with office types checking and pulling jerseys up to steal donuts. It concluded with a "Cyclones- Brand New Attitude" tag. Not bad! |

| They have had that commercial out for a while with the office hockey thing (guy uses scotch tape as hockey puck, fighting for donuts, goalie in front of trash can), and now they are formatting it with the upcoming promotions. I actually saw a commercial for Rich Franklin night during that Steelers/Ravens game. |

They probably should re-shoot one with Chad Starling (as our captain)or Jason Dietsch (as our hometown player) in their jerseys. Something more personal.
Like "I'm so-and-so of your Cincinnati Cyclones. Come out February whatever and see us take on..." |

| This is a little off topic but if we're just trying to come up with ways to get people in the building, how about getting Bronson Arroyo to sing the National Anthem and maybe do some sort of promotion during an intermission? It may be too late now that Spring Training is about to start but we could get some Cincinnati Sports fans in the building until baseball season starts. |

| It's not a bad idea, but I honestly don't think having Arroyo sing the National Anthem would draw more than 5 exra people. However, maybe try a post-game concert with him and other bands and you might be onto something. Obviously it would not go over as well as after a Reds game (just not the same environment as hockey). At any rate it would be better than the current record National Anthem, or that church choir. |
