Although we lost last night in Toledo 3-2,maybe Collins is our answer to
a backup for Dejardins.Maybe now they can go with a play two-rest one game
rotation since Collins does look like he can play at this level with the help
of our defense.It was great to see Friday night the defensemen not hanging
out at the line but instead in on offense resulting in the puck staying in
play longer.Then the coach wisely pulled them back once a lead was in place.
This team is really playing together and maybe I was wrong about needing a
goal scorer.One thing we don't have is selfish play on the ice. |

| Collins will be fine. He has played well in his first two games, but oddly enough they both ended up being 3-2 losses (the first being in OT). |

| i haven't made up my mind yet. the guys said he got some bad bounces in toledo. i'm going to wait a few more games to see what happens. his save percentage is currently .900 which, if he can keep it there will be outstanding, but he is also going to beed to get his gaa down a little, right now it is at 3. i would like to see it around 2.5 because we are not a prolific scoring team. |

| Actually, we have been one lately, with a pair of 7 goal games in the last two weeks. But yeah, don't expect that to last. |

as has been reported elsewhere on the boards, collins has been released.
we have another emergency back-up for now. something must be in the works for after the first of the year; they have a stretch of 8 games in 11 days starting on jan 5th. it would be tough to get through that with just a back-up.
maybe dov is coming back. maybe the 'truk'r has gotten himself into shape and has decided to make a come back. or maybe they just found a more suitable back-up. |

| Collins was released because his old team called begging for him. They were giving up a ton of goals without him. I think Cincy did it as a favor. |

Here's a new idea for a back-up goalie-Marc Magliarditi.Las Vegas seems to be keeping
him on the team in the form of the disable list.Earlier this year he was activated
then sent to an AHL team.He is from Las Vegas,so he is a favorite there.Maybe if he
is healthy we could "borrow" him until Dov gets back or till they need him.We watched
him last year and he still can play.
