CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Byron Elliott. In a separate transaction, they have released forward Brent Clarke.
Elliott, a 23-year-old Burlington, Ontario native, joins the Cyclones after completing a three-year collegiate career at the University of Toronto. In 74 games, the six-foot-one inch forward amassed 107 points (46 goals, 61 assists), 28 of them coming in his senior season. He was Toronto’s offensive leader in each of his three years on campus. Prior to skating in college, Elliott played parts of four seasons in the OPJHL and OHL.
He is expected to make his professional debut tonight as the Cyclones return to U.S. Bank Arena as they host the Chicago Express at 7:30pm. It will be the first-ever Cross River Face-Off with students from Northern Kentucky and University of Cincinnati encouraged to show who has more school spirit by dressing in their team’s colors. In addition, fans 21+ can enjoy $1 PBR and Miller High Life! Secure your seats now by calling 513.421.PUCK or log on to CyclonesHockey.com. Fans can also get the latest team updates throughout the season on Facebook and Twitter (@CincyCyclones).

We need reinforcements. Hope the coaches are looking deep into the college system unless they know that Milw or SA are sending some back or which players are coming of IR.
Most of Skalde's trades have been great. Nick Tabisz appears to be an exception. He's a -7 in 9 games since coming here. The Cyclones are +2 in goals differential in these games. Tabisz has been on the ice for 14 of the 25 non SO goals.
So far he is the Pickard of our defensemen. |

| Good call ratsncats, w/o some ncaa guys finishing up their careers or getting help from the affiliations, this season is over. Tabisz needs to stop with the penalties too. Only 1 all season with SC, and now 4 or 5 here this quickly. |

| I always find myself looking at the +/- numbers of players, but I try to take it with a grain of salt. Seems like sometimes those numbers can be a little skewed depending on the quality of the line the individual is on. |
...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones! |
