GWINNETT, Georgia – The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have signed forward Matt Carter.

Carter, a Mississauga, Ontario native, joins Cincinnati on its season-long road trip after completing a four-year career at the University of Prince Edward Island. In 14 games this year, he posted a team-high 22 points to finish off his senior campaign. In 97 collegiate games, the six-foot-one forward collected 128 points (61 goals, 67 assists) – ranking in the top five on the team’s scoring list in each of his four seasons. In 2010-11, he was named to the CIS (Canadian NCAA) All-Second Team.

Carter will make his Cincinnati debut tomorrow night as the Cyclones open a six-game swing through the South Division against the Gwinnett Gladiators. Fans can hear all the action of the tilt on the Cyclones Radio Network beginning at 6:50pm with the opening face-off to follow at 7:05pm.

The Cyclones will return to U.S. Bank Arena on Wednesday, March 21 when they welcome in the Chicago Express at 7:30pm. It will be the final Wet Wednesday of the season, featuring $1 PBR and Miller High Life.

...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones!
