I know the upcoming Jan 5,6 games have dinners with the guests, but does anyone know if any give-aways are planned?
Also, whats with the 10:30am "Education" game on Tuesday March 27?
Is this a freebie for schools? |

For the January 5 and 6 games (Rich Franklin and NASCAR nights), Franklin and the driver, Denny Hamlin will be at the game. I would maybe expect a poster of them as a give-away, nothing else.
The Education in Hockey Day is a game where a bunch of schools have been contacted about coming to the game as a field trip. There will be a few educational twists thrown in, Hamel has said there will be a lesson on how the zamboni works, something educational on the ice, but best of all the kids will get to see the Cyclones battle the Chiefs. |

Then that Tuesday might be a fairly full house. It would be great to see the game with a big crowd, but how would that be for playing hookey from work?
Would they sell beer?
How many of the usual crowd could make it? |

| That's what I was thinking as well. I would imagine the concessions (including beer) probably won't be open for the game, or maybe just a few. I could be wrong though. |

As a Tuesday, its still a buy one-get one ticket deal isn't it?
That would make it good for a day off.
If there are limited concessions, I guess you can always hit Hofbrauhaus after the game! |

Another thing.
I know the team is reluctant to give away a large number of tickets for fear of devaluing the seats and season ticket holders, but how about giving one of the (currently empty) corners to high school bands? They could play a good national anthem and let them have some breaks to play a tune or two. Their friends and families would attend too, of course, and when I went to the Frozen Four in Columbus last year, the college bands added a great atmosphere. |

| I don't think the buy one get one free is still in effect for that game. The first one had its own "Two-for-Tuesday" promotion. I think this one is just the Education day, not a Two-for-Tuesday. But who knows, they could very well make it another Two-for deal. |

I noticed that Dr Pepper cans have a Cyclones advertisement on them that are Buy One-Get One. I didnt look closely at the games, but there were quite a few of them. I assumed they were Tuesdays, but looking at the schedule now, there arent enough Tuesdays.
Anyone else seen this can ad? |

| I have a freind that brought his Dr Pepper can to a game to get the discount and since they can't fit the can through the slot they told him to keep it. So I guess you only have to drink one Dr Pepper and you can use the same can all year (if ya feel like carrying it around all night). Not sure on all the dates but I think the next one is the 21st of Jan. |

| I checked a can out at home. They are all weeknight games, with some wednesdays and such. It says half price on one ticket, so thats still not bad. |

| Am I wrong or is the education in hockey game a 10:30 in the morning start time? If so I will have to take off to attend the game. I'm hoping I'm wrong but if it means getting several school's to attend the game then I'm all for it. |

| Yes the game is at 10:30 AM and the idea is for it to be a school field trip. Don't expect a huge drawing of non-teacher adults. |
