On October 23, 1975, the upstart Cincinnati Stingers of the World Hockey Association played their first regular season home game, defeating the Edmonton Oilers, 6-4, at Riverfront Coliseum. Rick Dudley had two goals and an assist for the Stingers in his return to Cincinnati following two seasons in the NHL with the Buffalo Sabres.

I still have the game program and the certificate the Stingers handed out to all fans in attendance commemorating being at the first home game.
