The big question of the season-Why can they make such a great effort
on the penalty kill and then be so lame on the power play????Sorry

if i'm recalling this stat correctly (it was brought up during the last game broadcast), the 'clones have killed something like 56 of the last 58 penalty situations. during those PK situations we have at least 2 short handed goals, that i can remember. that means that our PK is just as productive as the opponents PP's are (at least when they play us).
not only do they 'clones lead the league in the PK, but i believe they also lead the league in short handed goals.
so it may as well be CLICK-CLICK-CYCLONES SCORE!

Okay I know the penalty kill effort has been great,but maybe we should
ask Cedrick and Dov how much they enjoy PK shifts with no or one goal
leads because our miserable PP can't even generate a shot on goal.We
seem to be more interested in passing back and forth thirty times than
taking a shot. Then when we do shoot,we put it right at the goalie or
send another shot into the ankles of the defender in front of them. |
