| Apparently they signed him yesterday and he is backing up Zoltan today. SPHL guy from Knoxville. This cant be good news about Foster. |

Foster has a groin issue. The only thing he can do is rest and it's probably going to take some time.
Zoltan's performance today was adequate and there's no reason to think he won't continue to improve. The 1st goal was soft but I'll chalk that up to nerves (Nashville golaie coach Mitch Korn was in the building) and perhaps a bit of rust especially since he didn't see much action in the 1st. The 2nd was a flukey low wrap-around which he had covered but the puck caught some kind of deflection and got up and over him. While 2 goals on 18 shots doesn't sound good what it doesn't tell you is the quality of the saves he did make; one uncontested shot which he stopped with his shoulder/head region late in the 3rd after the 'Clones had gone up 3-2 comes to mind in particular.
Honestly, the way the team is playing defensively this season, I'm rather comfortable with either goalie in net. |

The few times we've seen Zoltan he looked quick with some obvious skills. What he seems to lack is the same thing many european goalies lack and that's dealing with bodies invading his space. Time to get accustomed to that is hopefully all he needs.
On the Kyle Rank thing, at first I thought it was the old Kyle Rank back again. Hey, he played F and D when he was here, so G was the only thing left. :)

| Rank will prove to be a capable backup as long as he is here. He's a very solid SPHL goaltender and is probably on the cusp of being a true ECHL goalie. Perhaps a stint up here will sharpen his game and allow him to develop. In the meantime, I hope Zoltan can be a workhorse until Foster gets healthy again. Groin injuries can be dicey. Zoltan appears to have the game. As long as he doesn't get rattled, he appears that he can handle the game capably. He made some very clutch saves yesterday. |
