Only time the word "Cyclone" appears now in the Enquierer is when they are describing a storm off the coast. Good article and thanks for the effort to get some positive word out on the franchise.
I think we are watching the slow death of the Cincinnati Enquirer. People know not to get their information from a day old rag, and will not pay to use the internet site. Maybe it is a positive thing not being associated with the Enquirer.
Great article! Very informative, and pro Cyclones! Only one thing I saw that needs corrected the ECHL does not stand for East Coast Hockey League. The league is just known at the ECHL.
Hard to believe that cant get any coverage in Enquirer. Don't know if it is due to differences on a business level due to advertising issues etc or if it is an image problem they have where they consider this a major league town and will not cover minor league teams. Either way it is an insult and i have long ago cancelled my subscription passing along the reason why.=--I dont want them filtering news based on who advertises or their opinion that all these fans dont count for whatever reason. Lack of coverage of Skalde award is just terrible journalism
The paper is not being printed in Cincinnati anymore, or it will be that way soon. If you read the paper most of their stories come from other news outlets. Sad that a local paper does not cover local news anymore.
One week after the new format came out we cancelled our subscription. We now have the USA Today delivered each week day and see more about the ECHL there than what was in the Enquirer. We go up and buy the Sunday issue for the ads and TV sheet. And they wonder why no one reads the paper anymore !
Nice article! The Cyclones have gone about it the right way with their marketing and promotional efforts since returning to the ice in 2006-07 following a two-year sabbatical.
