I'm out of town, and am just curious if anyone has any insight on what's gone wrong the last two games?

Have the Cyclones been outplayed, momentum shift, off night, what?

Getting a bit concerned that they've had two elimination chances and squandered them. Never a good thing to give a beaten down opponent a breath and a little light.

On Friday night, I thought the Clones were outplayed by the Walleye from the get go. Too many errant passes and they couldn't get a break from Pearce. All this is said considering that the game went into 2OT.

Saturday night, the Clones looked much better. Unfortunately, Houser was beaten early and the team could not beat Pearce.

Is it a momentum shift? I won't know until Game 6 ends.

Cyclones hockey. A championship caliber team in a city of losers.

I wasn't at Friday night's game & I really wished I hadn't gone last night. Here are my thoughts: they played like rookies. I know that they played a really long time on Friday night but these guys are in their 20's & should be very well conditioned to this. If they don't get the s*** together Tuesday night the Walleye will be playing Gwinett.

Hockey is life. All the rest is just small stuff.

No worries yet. Anything can happen in an OT game. Last night, Toledo was playing for their lives and we coasted and it showed. I look for renewed focus in Toledo and a win in game 6 for the Cyclones.

The Cyclones are still the better team.

Cyclones have always played better on the road, I don't have stats to support this and could be wrong but I see many more losses at US Bank Arena than I see wins. As a Side note, I DO NOT know the circimstances, and I'm neither a skalde hater or supporter, or a weber love-fester, what I do know in the weber years we/he was able to locate suitable and capable backups for which it seems like we have none, weber is gone and that is that, goaltenders are so very important and it seems like we are at a junction with only one goalie. If anyone asked me about giving Houser a break it would have been last night, Maybe the rational is totally wrong and would not mind if someone told me so.

I half thought that the Clones would have won last night because we were not in attendance, instead we were in Dayton watching a Dragons game.....they lost both games.

The manner in which the Cyclones won games 2 and 3 seems to have them coasting right now. Whether they actually are, or Toledo has stepped up their game, is debatable. I would venture it's a bit of both. Regardless, the 'Clones need to find a higher gear.

I differ from mheck13 in that I think Friday, the guys played 2 great periods and took a 2-1 lead into the 3rd. That's when Toledo started to gain momentum. A defenseman missed a check and took himself out of the play and it lead to the tying goal. Toledo carried that momentum into the OTs when another mental gaff on a line change left Kyle Rogers to skate in untouched. It was a shot that Houser must want back but the mistake happened seconds earlier. Last night it looked like, sans 2 or 3 players, the team was skating in sand while Toledo took the game to them.

I agree with Elvis, I thought the Cyclones was about to bust it open on Friday. I had actually felt comfortable taking my eyes off the action to grab my drink on the floor and looked up and it was 2-2. no one was pressing and it shocked me and left me wondering what the heck happened. In the OT, I think we carried the play and we had several odd man rushes with one that amounted to a penalty shot and would have been monumental to have buried it. This is typical for the Clones vs walleyes throughout the entire season and I cannot forsee the clones losing the next two........on a side note, This walleye team is NOT the same team the Cyclones were back in 2010 coming back agains Reading

Let's hope the boys get this done in Toledo on Tuesday. Really don't want to come back to US Bank for a game 7 with all the pressure on the Cyclones.

I would say it is easy to have our faith shaken a little by by the two losses, if for no other reason just the stress of watching it. However, I'm not terribly worried.

Game 4 as an elimination game is always hard. Toledo was playing with desperation, and they played really well. The put up a lot of shots and played good hockey. Fortunately Houser also played great. But, their second goal was sort of a fluke; if that didn't go in then there would have been no OT. Once it did go to OT, it's basically a crap shoot. Statistically, it is okay that they won that one.

Game 5 was a little more worrisome, but still not insurmountable. Toledo still is desperate, both teams exhausted after OT. I thought the Cyclones played a little more solid this game than Game 4, but Pearce stood on his head. I counted 4 times he was looked more like a Flounder than a Walleye, out of his crease and on his back, but his defense managed to push off the Cyclones attempt on the empty net.

Looking ahead, the Cyclones have to get their power play more effective. This has been a problem all season and is a huge weakness in the playoffs. Toledo was only 0.1% better, though, so it not terribly lopsided.

Good news: McFarland was sent down today and will be playing in Game 6. Dude is fast and has great hands. He will be a huge help overall and to the powerplay.

I gotta say, I have faith in Coach Skalde. He has the guys playing well. I noticed in both of those games that they were doing all the "little things" that shows they care - the far-reaching poke checks, skating hard, following through. That is a passion/desire thing and they have it.

They need to dial it in a little better Coach said that after the game Saturday, they need to play with more passion. I think they have it, but so did Toledo, maybe a little more.

Passion is the X-Factor in the playoffs. They have had a couple of days to rest, recuperate, and re-set the mind. They do well on the road. If they come with passion, they will come home with a win.

zero worried, off and on all year the Walleye and Clones, time for the Clones to win one. This Game however is going to feel closer to a game 7 for the Clones, I wouldn't want to drive 4 hours back only to play tomorrow. Maybe silently the walleye are also wishing not to get back on the bus too
