Always sarcastic but in case you missed it with all the coverage the Enquirer has given the Saint X boys golf team's third place finish at state, the Cyclones win their season opener in front of 6000 at the US Bank Arena to the tune of 4-2. Also in High school tennis coverage by the Enquirer, a Ursuline senior won another state title......I just don't get it, and before ANYONE suggests it, I cannot believe that more folks follow high school tennis or golf than do Cyclones hockey. |

Have been complaining about this for a few years and written the sports editor at the Enquirer. Never get a reply.
Go to any other ECHL city and there are almost daily articles let alone game articles. |

Since the 90s I'm not certain the coverage has ever been good, I used to leave voice mails all the time to the editor and sports writers but now I occasionally take pot shots at the paper just for fun. |

Perhaps the Enquirer doesn't get the game summary/recap from the Cyclones in time to meet the deadlines, or it's not written in the preferred format and they don't have time to do a re-write.
The games typically end close to deadline, so there's not much time to get the recap to them. If they have to do any editing, that makes it that much more difficult to get it in the paper next day.

While newspaper coverage would be nice, so long as the Cyclones are getting TV and radio coverage, all is well.
At last count, at least 64 people under the age of 40 subscribe to the Enquirer. Their lack of coverage is irrelevant, as is their dying paper. |

The page views the Enquirer online sports section gets on a daily basis begs to differ on the lack of coverage being irrelevant.
Fewer people are also listening to traditional radio these days, too. |
