How about this weekend for the Cyclones and Trenton. Trenton comes
here Friday,then go to Dayton on Saturday and back here on Sunday
afternoon.We play here Friday,go to Wheeling on Saturday and return
to play Trenton again here on Sunday at noon! How about THREE games
in less than 48 hours with a trip back and forth to Wheeling. To top
it off we are playing a game on Super Bowl Sunday.Too bad we couldn't
have a big party at the arena with the game on the scoreboard screens
and $1 PBRS after the hockey game! |

Which game do you play Ben Gray in goal,on Saturday in Wheeling
or Sunday here in Cincinnati.Saturday gives Cedrick a day off but
now he faces Trenton twice in a row.Sunday means he plays 3 games
in 4 days,but I would also like a chance to see Gray play Sunday
and see if he is a real goalie.My opinion is playing all three games
is plain stupid and if so,why do we even have a backup goalie and
not just the Friday night league special. |

First of all, great win and great crowd tonight.
I say definitely play Gray tommorow night (or tonight rather) in Wheeling if you are going to play him at all. The only reason I could see not is if Wheeling's goaltender hadn't returned and we are starting Dejardins with extreme confidence to get the 2 points with him behind out. Having him play at home SB Sunday against Trenton of all teams would be absolute murder, and don't forget all of Cedrick's success home at USBA (and three road losses previously). |

I notice that Trenton is one of the lowest penalized teams in the ECHL. I guess
when the refs let you get away with spearing someone in the gut with the end of
the stick like #11 Henkel or driving an elbow into someone's face like #7 Ruggers,
you are one of the least penalized.Last night we were guilty of some retaliation
penalties,but I can't blame them for saying "enough is enough" .Even Naumenko had at
least three times when he tripped or slashed at our players and nothing was called.
Thank you Cyclones for not playing our favorite tune- maybe that was the reason we
did get a few Trenton called penalties in the third.After the physical game he had
last night,I say start Gray and let Cedrick rest for Sunday.It was also great to see
Daust and Gadja out there on seperate lines.They both played hard and were pests to
Trenton all night long. I still don't agree with only 2760 fan count,but that I guess is
between me and the Cyclones!Finally,yes I am strongly renewing my tickets for next year. |

With a little more gas in the tank and fair referee calls,we might
have had a sweep of this weekend.First,hats off to the coach for not
only giving Cedrick Saturday off,but also letting him stay in Cincy.
Second,with nothing left but heart,we manage to pull the tie before
losing in overtime on a bad goal.To anyone who went to Wheeling-what
time did you get to your home last night.I figure Trenton should have
been at their hotel by Midnight after the Dayton game.Rest up guys,
you have a WHOLE three days before your next game.That long and they're
probably be rusty !!! |

| We got back into Cincy about a little after 2. We stuck around and got on the road about 11 and left about the same time the bus did. |

Thanks for the info.Too bad we didn't play Trenton last night here and both teams
would have had the same time schedule but to our credit,the team didn't give up and
put everything on the ice! That deserves credit to the coach and the players. |
