Cincinnati Cyclones goaltender Joe Howe is the CCM ECHL Rookie of the Month for January.
The 23-year-old went 6-1-0 with a 1.70 goals-against average and a save percentage of .944 in seven appearances during the month.
A native of Plymouth, Mich., Howe opened the month on a four-game winning streak, and made at least 26 saves six of his eight starts while allowing two goals or less in all but one appearance. He ended the month on a high note, making 28 saves in a 4-1 win against Reading on#8200;Jan. 29 and then turning aside 40 shots in a 3-1 victory at Toledo on Jan. 31.
He has seen action in 12 games with Cincinnati posting a record of 9-2-1 with one shutout, a 2.43 goals-against average and a save percentage of .919.
