If you haven't been paying attention to what's happening in Columbus with the Blue Jackets -- and judging by the lack of a single post about them in over a year you haven't -- they're 17-7-2 in their last 26 games and on the verge of making the playoffs.

The Blue Jackets are a fun team to watch. They battle and compete every night. No team is going to want to face them in the first round of the playoffs.

Third-year center Ryan Johansen, who former forum member hrc666 stated a couple years ago was a bust, has emerged as one of the best young players in the NHL. He leads the team in scoring with 49 points on 25 goals and 24 assists. Johansen is going to be a really special player, someone worth buying a ticket to watch play.

If you have a chance, check out a Blue Jackets game or better yet, head to Nationwide Arena. You won't be disappointed.

My issue with the Blue Jackets is that they always collapse in the end. They've made the playoffs once, and got swept in the first round. They've been playing great hockey of late, the question is...can they keep it up through the stretch run?

That being said, Nationwide IS a great place to watch a hockey game.

One of the best arenas in the National Hockey League.

Even though it is 34 years old, I like Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. For those that haven't seen a game there I highly recommend checking out a game before the Red Wings move into a new arena. Lots of Red Wings history on display. A must-see for any hockey fan.
