CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL, announced Wednesday (Feb. 14) that they have acquired forwards Travis Lisabeth and Mike Wirll from the Pensacola Ice Pilots in exchange for defenseman Jarred Mohr and forwards Torry Gajda and Erik Johnson.
Good luck Torry,Jarred and Erik.I just hope the new guys can help on the power play.
Also-what about the goalie situation? |

both guys look pretty solid. mike wirll put up some great numbers in the UHL. we'll have to see how it translates to the ECHL. they should both help the PP and the offense improve. i'm more worried about the defense. rory is still in binghamton, hamilton is happy having john gleed be a healthy scratch every game and now we lose jarred. sure we picked up martens and that gallagher kid, but jarred was a staple of the PK. i'm thinking the PK could be in trouble for a few games until martens and gallagher get with the chemistry of the other guys on the PK.
i'm keeping an eye on the ahl transactions and i haven't seen anything about dov yet.
i'm sure torry, jarred and erick are upset about going from a playoff team to the bottom of the barrel, but i'm sure they'll like the weather a lot better. |

They will be missed for sure, purely from a spectator point of view. I loved watching Erick's speed and skating ability and Tory's puck sense.

i wonder if chuck new about this before the deal. both guys have been released on bond and have court dates pending. hopefully, there was some find of stipulation in the trade agreement regarding what would happen if these guys get locked up.
i was kind of excited to see what these guys were going to bring to the team, now i'm dissappointed with management. why let go 3 talented young players to bring in a couple of veteran felons? the team was playing well as it was and....if it's not broke, don't fix it. |

I just realized that this also solves our 3-goaltender problem.
By trading three for two,this allows us the slot to keep all three
goalies at least for a short time. |

actually it doesn't solve anything. we traded 3 for 2 with p-cola, but then bridgeport reassigned jason goulet to use so the roster is filled back up.
as of an hour ago the echl website still show erick, torry and jarred as active on the cyclones roster, and lisabeth and wirll as "no longer active" i wonder if that is some kind of screw up or if the trade is off because of the arrests. |

Its getting to the point of having to print out a current roster from ECHL before each game. I know turn-over year to year is the life of a minor league hockey fan, but good grief, its hard to keep track of who's who game to game.
I really liked Torry. He was never afraid to dig in the corners. I appreciate a hard worker.
He reminded me of Mike Ricci for the Sharks. I was just as bummed when they sent him to Phoenix. I miss that grit.
