when will all this madness stop. chuck has to remember that his job has 2 parts to it. he seems to be gung ho when it comes to developing players and getting them called up, but he seems to be missing the part where he is a head coach of a professional hockey team in the middle of a very tight playoff race. seems to me, eventually you have to say "enough is enough" and keep the players here.
i'm going to be very dissappointed with the management of this team if the cyclones make an early exit from the post season or if we go through a stratch like we did in november and miss the playoffs down the stretch (we are only 6 points ahead of trenton, which is in the last playoff spot and 8 in front of johnstown) because we have numerous key players in the AHL. earlier in the year i was happy for our guys, and i guess i still am right now, but i am also selfish and i think we need these guys here. |

I totally agree Elvis...Im selfish too but the fact Jason deserves to be in the AHL. I hate being the in the feeding pool of the AHL teams. I know the coach Weber is getting the players ready for the next level. He is doing a fine job but "enough is enough" lol

| I agree that it's getting old losing our players to the AHL, but you all need to remember that with an affiliation like we have our job is to develop players for the next step. I agree that it's frustrating, but you also have to remember that development of the players is the job of Chuck & Dean. I really don't think it would be wise for Chuck to tell an AHL team "no you can't have my players...". Just my humble opinion! |

our affiliation is with hamilton and we have players in binghampton, bridgeport, and now wilkes-barre/scranton. i have no problem with players in the montreal system getting called to hamilton or any other players that have existing AHL contracts getting called up, but when an AHL team calls and wants one of our leading scorers while we are in the middle of a very tight playoff race this late in the season i think a line needs to be drawn. like i said before, i will be very dissappointed with management if things fall apart down the stretch because our talent is getting pilfered by the ahl. i agree that developing players is part or what chuck got hired to do, but he also got hired coach a winning hockey team.
maybe the team should look into having an "unwritten" rule stating that after a certian date (maybe the ahl clear day) if the team is in a tight playoff race the players that don't have pre-existing AHL contracts will accept the call-ups. think of it as a "finish what you've started" rule. |

| any word on how long Jason will be gone? My research has me to believe that Jason in replacing the guy that got called up to EDM to replace Petr Nedved who was placed on the IR but I can't find anything that says how long he's on the IR or how long the other guy will be in EDM...ANYONE have any idea?!? There isn't even any mention of Jason being called up on the AHL site or WBS site! Someone out there has to have info!!! |

First off,three cheers for Jason finally getting his first shot at AHL level
hockey.However,how is management going to explain Jason going to a Pittsburg
affiliate if we lose out for the playoffs. The rubberband can only be stretched
so long before the constant roster turnovers start causing line failures and
losses.I like your idea of the AHL roster deadline to hold back on moves involving
non-affiliate teams. |
