Rameses(Jason Ray), the mascot for the NC Tarheels, passed away today. He was on the road with the team and was hit by a SUV 3 days ago. I know it's not hockey, but us mascots are a little family. Furry and cartoonish, but there is a heart and soul in there. He will be missed, and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.
I will second that Twister and we often take pokes at the mascots,but when you see a kids face light up when a mascot comes around,you know they have a place on the team.We got spoiled with some of the old Snowbird antics,that's why your headstand on the ice is a great accomplishment.I'm sure the NC team and fans feel a big loss now and wish the Ray family proud memories of their son.The article I read on him was a man who loved the basketball team and chose the best way he could show it.
