After much deliberation and advice from you all, I have narrowed down the nominations for The first Annual HECKLER AWARDS. Please feel free to cast your opinions and/or votes right here on this public forum. This has been a great year for all of us, so let's reflect on the year and help me pass these awards out to the most deserving. Thanks.
1. Clones Player of the year
Cedrick Dejardins, J-M Daoust, Jason Deitch
2. Clones player you wish was never here
Dov Grummet Morris, Conrad Martin, Scott Reynolds
3. Play of the year
Goal with 8.9 seconds in OT, J-M Hat trick, Sam slap shot from blue line in California
4. Game of the year
First ever win in Wheeling, Return of Clones.1st game back, wining with 8.9 seconds left in OT
5. Worst Referee
Ernst, Shuey
6. Favorite Ref to heckle
Sorry, but calling for Shuey like a pig is too classic and will be the winner no matter who says what!
7. Favorite Official (i know this is very hard cuz they all suck)
Brad Phillips #66 Linesman...there were no other nominations given to me and at least Brad gives us a puck every game and laughs when we heckle the ref every night.
8. Best Fan...(not me, cuz their ain't one LOL)
Rob from sect. 120, All of Sect. 60, "BINGO"
9. Best Player who has not worn a Clones jersey this year(ECHL)
Yannick Tifu(Dayton), Mike Pandolfo(Trenton), Brad Schell(Gwinnett)
10. Biggest Whining cry ass baby(Clone or not)
Grant McNeil(Wheeling), Paul Bissonette(Wheeling), Louis Trembley(Trenton)
11. Favorite Goalie to heckle
Adam "5-hole" Berkhoel(Dayton), Yutaka "f-u-fuji" Fukifuji(Reading), Greg "duck hunt" Naumenko
12. Favorite Zip Scene Girl
Unless someone has any suggestions, I say the curly headed one.
13. Best intermission competition
Beer Chug Puke, Center Ice fighting with Rich Franklin, Survivor
14. Lowest Cyclones moment of the year
5-0 loss to Dayton, Night of Martin's beating vs. Toledo, Point when the clones were the basement dwellers
15. Best fight
Stewart-Trembley(night of my ejection), Martin-Parillo #1, Starling on St Pat's Day, Stewart in Cali(on YOUTUBE), the only fight Avery Wilson has won...hard to remember..LOL

Agree I think Conrad Martin should be listed under the players of the year with stats like these
06-07 Regular Season Cincinnati Cyclones 59 games 2 goals 20 assists 22 points + 17 90 PIM's The +17 stands out the most. |

Plus 17 or not, have you seen the man skate backwards lately? HE CAN'T!! Plus those stats do not show that he has been part of giving up...or I have at least witnessed....multiple break-away goals and 2 of those, in consecutive games, while on the power play. That would be vs Dayton in Troy and the following game here Tuesday night against Wheeling.
Urquhart is NOT here, he has been in Hamilton for quite a while, so anyone's wish he wasn't here came true then.
Mulally, I do not feel has been given much of a chance. Only playing 39 games. I don't recall if he was injured or what. He's not the best we have sure, but I and others believe there are worse.
DOV..what is there to say about him....How about winning only 1 shootout, and repeatedly blowing opportunities. Were you there the night he tried to hit a puck THRU a man standing just outside his own crease? The puck bounced straight down and the player waltzed right in and won the game for the opposition. The only time I was a Dov fan was in Cali when he sounded like a machine stopping pucks. He has since slipped again. |
