According to Hammer's article on cycloneshockey.com we're the number 2 sead in the playoffs ("The Cyclones will begin play in the Kelly Cup playoffs next week, as the No. 2 seed in the North Division.") However if Toledo wins tonight against Dayton IN REGULATION they will end up with 81 points, which will move them to the #2 sead and us as the 3rd sead with 80 points. So if Toledo wins tonight in regulation they have home ice advantage, if they lose in reg or OT then we have home ice advantage. (I think my calculations are accurate) How does everyone feel about this scenario?
I honestly would rather play Toledo than anyone else in our division right now. All others seem to have our number lately...especially J-Town. This series could be a fun one to watch.
If we are playing Toledo, the home ice will be the factor on who wins. I think the home team won each game expect for a Cyclones win in Toledo. But as said above, thats all wiped out because the playoffs are a new season.
Wasn't at game at Toledo the other night, but heard from some that were. Fans next to glass talking to and getting attention of on-ice officials, using their air horns close to glass when other teams skaters pass by, and Angel is a goon and nothing more. Good luck in round 1.
