| Ok my fellow Cyclones fan, I need to know if its just me or if anyone else has noticed this the past couple of games. Why is it when the other team is on the power play do they always 1 and, alot of times 2 guys just campin out in front of the net? Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me? I wish they would start and, when I say they I mean the D, the need to clear those guys outta there so Cedric can see!!! Cedric can't stop what he can't see!! This is driving me nuts,I hate it, especially when I see Cedric himself knockin these guys outta his vision!!! He shouldn'y have to be bobbin and weaving his head just to see where the puck is!! Let me know what you guys think!! Go Cyclones!!! |

| Our special teams needs to pick it up period. Our inability to score on the PP and our inability to stay out of the box(even though that was a horrendous call on JM for goaltender interfernce on Friday)costs us a division title. Come Friday night the PP better be cranking because it means everything now and you dont know how many chances your gonna get. Staying out of the box by not taking ignorant penalties will be huge also especially in Toledo where the arena is so small. We need to take their crowd out of the game. |

| This is very true!!! Yes that was a bs call on JM Friday night, I listened to coach Chuck Weber on Mon night and, he said later in the game fri night the ref told him he f#ed up on that call that he didn't realize that he was cross checked into the goalie. Yes, you are very right CycloneRyderfan73 we need to pick it up period!!! The whole reason for me making this post is because, when we are on the PP we never have guys just campin out in front of the net like they let the other team do. The boy need to come out flying, and hopefully get a win up there this weekend and steal home ice advantage away from them, since Toledo is 0-5 at US BANK ARENA. |

Well, if the ref knew he messed up, where was the make-up call? Obviously not on either of our puck carriers who were tripped.
But, I have complained all year that they dont put any traffic in front of the net on the power play. On the five on three's I sigh how its two minutes of keep-away on the perimeter without any shots on net.
I was at the Dayton-Trenton game April 5 and Dayton crashes the net. They drive the puck to the net and the players set up layers so the pointmen can fire into their forwards for deflections or goalie screens. I wish our guys did that. But they usually always had one guy in the slot, one at the top of the circle and the pointman firing through them. |

| clones are trying to look to pretty with the passes while the other teams crash the net just like you said. They better start crashing the net friday thats all i got say!! |

on the PK there is usually going to be a free guy in front. remember we're a man down and if the PP team puts 2 guys in front, the defenseman can only move one of them. the basic concept of a PK is to take up space in passing and shooting lanes. wehen you get too caught up with one person is when a break down happens. up until the last few games the guys did a great job. i've noticed that the guys aren't collapsing after the shot like they were earlier in the season. when a shot does get through and the puck is loose, the 1 defenseman we have in front of the net needs help clearing the puck. a lot of the PP goals we have given up lately have been on rebounds and loose pucks.
on the PP i hear what everyone is saying but i'm not sure i totally agree. with the skilled players that chuck has put on the PP units, it looks like he wants a PP based on creativity and skill. when the PP works we have great puck movement on the perimeter with 2 guys cycling through the slot area. this can create havoc for the PK because the passing and shooting lanes are constantly changing. i do think we need to shot more, but only when the shot is there. i hear a lot of people yelling "shoot" all the time, but there is no point in shooting the puck into the legs of the opposition and creating a breakout going the other way. if chuck would out together a PP line with bonneau or goulet on it, then the put someone in front to screen the goalie and shoot strategy would be great. both of those guys are big and physical, so they would make great screens. with the current PP i've noticed a lot of passing with out much movement. if they guys aren't going to move then there isn't going to be much creativity and the PP is going to suffer.
i'm personally a fan of the screen, shoot and rebound mentality and i wish we'd do it more. putting someone in front creates a lot of problems, regardless of whether it on the PP or even strength. it screens the goalie, can create a natural pick for guys like mike, j-m, and jason to walk the puck out of the corner and a variety of other things, but i think chuck sees things a little differenly. |

| Your right, I guess it just really bothers me, it seems when we are on the PP the other team is very aggressive and, attacks the puck and, its hard to get traffic in front of the net. I would like to see our PK do that!!! |
