| I hate to admit this but I agree with silver surfer! and as far as Dannie and them being yelled at till they were out of sight, I'm sure it couldn't have anything to do with the sign she was holding up towards the bus that was belittling the toledo players...yet she did nothing to provoke the behavior of the toledo fans right? |

As Elvis said, it's something that comes along with going to support your team at away games, especially when you lose. I've had it happen to me numerous times... at ECHL, AHL, and NHL games. If the Toledo fans couldn't handle Elvis telling them to have a good night while he's trying to get them off Dannielle's back then they shouldn't be dishing our fans crap when we're at their arena.
Like I said before, what you do to adults I really don't care. ADULTS CAN DEFEND THEMSELVES. Pushing kids down the stairs on the other hand and not even checking to see if they are ok, that is what I refered to as a total lack of class. |

with a name like Dannielle (the perp was male) I know you weren't the Cinci fan I saw bum rush two 3-5 year olds in an attempt to hit a Storm fan this evening.

Were you standing there, Jessica? No. Were you standing there when the girl came in MY face, calling me names, and then her mother attacked me for hitting her? I didn't TOUCH the girl. And I got thrown out. Why is it that when I had a sign in Toledo in November belittling their team, you thought it was funny? What about the bad karma brooms you were going to bring? What's the difference? There isn't one.
PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN TO NOT TAKE EVERYTHING SO SERIOUSLY. IT IS A GAME. |

I was at the top of the stairs in between 112 and 114 right below where the shoving match broke out. It was a guy in a Cincinnati Canadians jersey that you guys had in your jersey auction. |

I thought she was talking about after the game...if you read what I said, I was talking about the sign you were holding up "toward the bus"...that was a missunderstanding...relax! |

There was a group of 20somethin year old clones fans that were verbally abusing some storm fans @ the top of 114 when i walked by (right before punches were thrown) so I would have to say even as a clones fan~this was our doing...
Oh well **** happens, this isnt tennis~ |

the escalation of the events last night have been wieghing heavily on my mind and before people start pointing fingers at me, i want to clarify some things. yes, i was over by section 112 last night. yes, i have a canadiens jersey. and most importantly, I NEVER MADE ANY AGGRESSIVE ACT OR CONTACT WITH ANY OF THE TOLEDO FANS. I WAS HOWEVER PUNCHED IN THE FACE when i stepped in between dannielle and the toledo fan that was attacking her.
i beleive that there isn't anything wrong with wity banter back and forth between fans of rival teams. that is waht initially occured following the game. there were several toledo fans that seemed to get this and made comments like "don't worry we will be back." and "good luck against dayton...you're gonna need it." one exchange that i had went something like this:
elvis "thanks for coming...drive safe...better luck whenever."
toledo fan "yeah...well we finished second in the division."
elvis "is that going to help you get a better tee this weekend."
we both got a good laugh out of it. the next thing i know people are pushing and shoving each other.
personally, i think the friendly banter is good for a rivalry but since there are people out there that take seriously and personally i am going to refrain from taking part in it in the future.
to the toledo fans that "got it", i appreciate your sense of humor, enthusiam and support for you team. to those fans that took anything i said in ill will, i would like to offer my apologies as that was not my intention. i would also like to apologize to those that were stuck in the middle. it was not my intention for things to escalate they way the did. |

Who was verbally abusing who? What I witnessed/participated in was a two-sided argument.
I just love their argument, "Well we finished in 2nd place."
Me: "Didn't help you win any games in the playoffs did it?"
And their favorite argument, "We've won 16 championships blah blah blah" ... and my response every time: "Do they matter now?" The Canadiens have won what, 26 Stanley Cups? Doesn't make them better than the Sabres, Penguins, or any other team that made the playoffs in their absence... |

lol, my favorite argument is "it dont matter that you won, you wont get past the next round". I heard that in Toledo last weekend and a couple times last night. When thats your only argument perhaps you should just keep your mouth shut? |

we sit in section 112 and noticed the commotion on the walkway while leaving our seats. we didnt think much of what was going on nor did we know what was going on but saw a lot of security people going over to calm the situation. we went to the outer concourse to leave when we saw 4 "ladies" in
storm jerseys come rushing back in to confront someone. in my opinion that shows no class at all. not once was the kids being knocked down mentioned but the f-bomb was unleashed from one certain storm "fan". there comes a time when you just got to learn to walk away. sure your team lost thats life-get over it. my kid yelled to her to stop cursing and she got in my sons face. thats when my wife got into it with this person in a very heated shouting match and all this person could muster was f*** you. i just wonder how much of this was just storm fans getting pissed off because they just got their summer handed to them. |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. | AGAIN, I agree with SS! That is my entire problem with the situation! What kind of heartless person goes OUT OF THEIR WAY to taunt someone in their shoes! Us Cyclone fans know what it feels like to have your team ripped out from under you. Is it so hard to have a little sympathy or is that emotion too advanced? That one action shows a lack of maturity! Had those fans not gone out of their was to be hurtful to Toledo fans, I think this entire situation could have been avoided. Sure there were going to be words exchanged in passing but by deliberatley going over to rub it in their faces was unnecessary! |

| Drop it and move on. There are more important things to worry about... like sweeping Dayton this round. If you're that worried about Toledo fans and their feelings maybe you should skip the Dayton trip and take some tissues up north. |
