why announced the affiliation with nashville today......

a few weeks back it was anounced that dov signed with the nashville organization. if there is a chance that he might end up back here someone needs to on the phone with the marketing department and tell them to make every night "faith night" |

With two different affiliations possibly feeding (AND TAKING) talent
through the season,what about trying to find an old veteran goalie as
both a coach,practice goalie ,but mainly an UNTOUCHABLE goalie.We
had once this year when Dov and Cedrick were both playing in the AHL
and we were left scrambling. How about someone like Randy Petruk as a
spare/coach in the fold.If we could trot Marc Labelle out for a game,
anyone is fair game! |

| the truck'r was brought up several times last season in the situations that you mentioned. a friend up mine bumped into him at a reds game over the summer and he has no interest in returning. i agree there need to be some kind of contingency plan, but with the roster spots being limited as they are, i just don't see the 'clones or any other team for that matter, carrying 3 goalies on the roster. |

| Hey if the reds can carry 3 catchers on their roster then why cant the clones carry 3 goalies, lol. |

| Not only is Randy not interested in returning to hockey (he said that the team made multiple attempts to get him to play last year), if you've seen him lately, you probably would retract that request to have him play. Don't get me wrong, I was/am one of his biggest fans, but the kid has put on more than a few pounds since he last appeared in a clones uniform. It would probably take an entire season of workouts to get him back into playing condition. |

That is the thinking behind an emergency player/coach type position. He could even
work in the front office if you needed to further justify his need.Is there any
old Miami goalies floating in the Friday night games.In a perfect season,they
would never need to step on the ice,maybe just play "gatekeeper" while someone is
banged up or called up for a short stint. |

I have FAITH that every overtime game with Dov in net will be a nail-biting, two-fisted clincher. I have FAITH that I will be pulling my hair out...if I had any. I have FAITH that he will drive even my niece to become a heckler...well, this and the nuts in Section 60. I have FAITH that my patience and language control will be tested every time he starts to get froggy in net. Lock the door and hide the kids; set the beer down...on the other hand, the beer could help dull the pain. Were I a religious person, I might endorse a holy man blessing the nets every night Dov is on the ice. We could bring a representative from every religion. We could start a tab on sins and confession or simply confess our sins (cursing) in advance of gameday, thereby getting the formalities out of the way.
In all seriousness, Dov has the physical skills required of a solid goalie. He needs to stay focused, remain confident and minimize his brain farts. His issues are mental. He must simply have FAITH.

Hey prometheus,maybe you stumbled on to something. First,maybe we could
get a hockey mask for Dov with a big cross on the sides and put "The
Faith" on the front.Second,maybe we could get a witch doctor to come down before
the game and "WARD OFF EVIL SPIRITS" from his glove and his stick! Could you
imagine the fun we could dream up if Dov would go along with us! This could be as big
as the night Wildman got his head shaved. |
