I checked and there is a game on the 18th with two other ECHL teams,so why not slide the opener up to the 18th? We set our trip to first be home for the opener and second to catch a Wranglers home game-oh well one out of two ain't bad.
I'd love it, I've been debating if I'm going to Fort Wayne or Dayton for opening night (Both on the 20th) Then I wouldn't have to worry about ticking off a group of friends. |

Thanks R L for that info.I can go along with not switching to the 18th, but shouldn't OPENING NIGHT mean something to the Arena? Dates later in the year I could see a shift for the good of the Arena, but that night should be special.Oh well,Saturday the 27th will have to be my Opening Night. |

| Jim, that's correct. The set up date is the 19th (I asked Sherry & she confirmed it with Chuck). |
Hockey is life. All the rest is just small stuff.

| even though this change is happening pretty early, it's my guess that my tickets will be screwed up when i get them. i better start trying to get a hold of my ticket rep now so i know what tickets to bring to which game...... |

The UFC event is almost sold out at this point, only one thing matters to any arena. Dollars. |

| It is so not worth it to get bent out of shape over this already, it's still 2 months away & there is plenty of hockey still to be played. It should not be news to anyone that the Cyclones are not priority to the arena - afterall it is minor league hockey. |

I talked to my new ticket rep (Matt Coughlan has left) and Joe Stills told me the UFC needed the arena for Thursday-Saturday,so even the 18th wouldn't have been available.Like I told him,if we had a bigger average attendance from last year we might have had more pull, but I can live with simple reality for the arena's bottom dollar line.It would have been nice for season ticket holders being notified first, but Matt leaving probably affected that. |

Has anyone noticed the ticket price for floor seats at the UFC fight?
$403 at USBA ticket office. I saw $2440 at an online ticket site.
Assuming that all the front row seats will be sold out, I think you can see for yourself where The Cyclones stand with USBA. |

I absolutely love hockey and I would postpone the opening game also if I could get people to pay me that kind of money per seat. |
Get Clones instead of Clunkers.
