It was a great back and fourth game. Not sure the fourth goal should have counted for Dayton, but oh well.
This may be the fastest Cyclones team ever, however it worries me if they keep getting dominated physically like they did tonight. The lack of size really shows sometimes. I hope Fuller can possibly be our new Deitsch this season with games like that one. It was also kind of confusing to see some of the guys switch numbers this year.
One complaint is that I really don't dig the black uniforms. With the black jersey and black pants it looks like we have a freaking practice uniform on.

| I LOVE THE BLACK JERSEYS!! Great game... I don't think Dayton's fourth goal was legit either, but hey, we still won! I was on the edge of my seat ALL night. |

Glad hockey is finally back and i for one LOVE the black jerseys. better than that hideous/awful red one they wear.
turnovers are a concern i share with elvis, especially if dov is in net!!!! |

Dov did much better than Ceddy did last weekend against Dayton. Not sure if you were there, but it was pretty brutal. I'm not usually a Dov fan, but if they are going to keep up their performances from preseason and last night, I would much rather see Dov in net this weekend. |

No i wasnt there last wknd tho I heard all about how bad the game was. and yeah i am more concerned with wins than anything else,but as far as my comment regarding breakaways... i was around last season and remember how it went and that in combination the goals that were scored last night, would prefer to have cedrick in net. (at least)2 of the goals laSt night were breakaways and it's not like dov even came close to stopping either. the team just got lucky goulet (in particular) took bad penalties,that denike wasnt extremely sharp, and that they were able to put together a nice 3rd period. |

It's a whole new season. Obviously our guys have showed that your work over the offseason can make a huge difference. Look at Matt MacDonald. Ceddy is going to have to prove himself to me again. Watching him last week did nothing of that matter. Hopefully next time he is in net he can reverse that.
Dov obviously had his faults last night. In a perfect world, our goalies would stop EVERY shot. We all know that we will be waiting for that perfect goalie for awhile... until then, I will stick to the one that gets the wins. |

to ceddy's defense. last week at the coach's show i asked chuck what was going in that preseason game. he basically said it's preseason and ceddy came right and said he gave up 4 bad goals.
whether ceddy was just having a bad night or his timing is off after the offseason only time will tell. |

| I have to agree with Chuck's move to start Dov against Dayton though - Cedrick, whether it was an off night or not last Sunday, didn't play well against Dayton in the preseason game - so why start him in the first game that counts. Of course Dov's performance against Youngstown wasn't obviously a true testament to his ability, playing a team that's not quite at his skill level, but he looked better and I think that earned him the right to open it up. I'm sure we'll see some Cedrick vs Trenton this weekend and see the old Ceddy we're used to. |
