Wasn't able to make the meeting tonight as I work in Florence and don't get off work until 5:30, so what happened?

First of all the meeting was began with comments from Mr. Pat Pylypuik, who was pleased, and in my opinion surprised by the number of those in attendance (standing room). Following his comments various concerns and comments were brought up and openly discussed by those in attendance. {Also in attendance was a representative of the USBank group.)

Some of the topics disscussed/brought up were:

Ushers: Being more attentive to people going up and down the stairs while puck is in play. This has long been an issue with a great many hockey fans. Comments were made of how many feel this is disruptive and of ways that this may be addressed.

Lack of Radio: Why there has been none and how even now that this is being worked on and how it is their (Cyclones) hope that games will be back on the radio for next season. A bid had been made with radio but 'somehow' was 'undercut' by the other team in town.

Ticket Reps: Fans have often said they either don't know who their ticket rep is or how they can get 'issues' resolved or who to even contact. A letter will be forthcoming to season ticket holders to let them know who their ticket representative is.

Ladies Night: LOL wellllllllll we all know what this was about. But suggestions were made as to how to make it truely a ladies night.

Promotions/Attendance: This is an area of subjective reasoning. Much is being done to promote the Cyclones both on radio and media(TV)with phone calls and emails being sent to both inform and remind the sports department of upcoming games. (We all know that the print media is lacking in its' coverage and is/will always be a battle.)
Was said that, overall, the attendance this year is up a little over 3% from last year. It was also said that compared to last year, 'downtown' Cincinnati has been more receptive and supporting.

Cyclones Kids Club: Was brought up that more needs to be done actively with the kids. Membership has grown to nearly 1500 kids, but little is done with the 'club'. Ideas were brought up on how more can be done.

Start time of games and other items were also discussed. Hall Of Fame Dinner is still on but plans for it need finalizing (original date had to be cancelled because of scheduling conflicts). Look soon for a survey to be filled out - either by email, Cyclones Website and/or at the games.

Mr. Pylypuik said in conclusion that he felt this meeting was very informative and that there will be more of them in the future.
