it seems like this area has become a sight for rantings and ravings about non-cyclone happenings.
the camera issue is a us bank arena issue and it is on their web site when u go to the event your interested in, dayton is another matter altogether and they have a chat room if you want to discuss Bummer hockey.
this chat room is cyclones talk
one hell of a game last night for the clones, cedrick got his second shut out of reading and the team responded well to the road trip so far. but not even a passing comment about the game in here (before or after the game).
a question to you all, is cyclone hockey dead? only the faithful still around? has it lived its time on earth, god i hope not because i would miss it if it goes by the side due to non-particiaption of the fan base that is really out there i think. this chat room is a small yet powerful way to express the cyclone spirit it would be a shame to see it go to.
the cyclones organization this year seems to have listen to fans- radio, coaches show on radio, deep discount tickets (i am sure they are trying to see what happens on sat to see if they will do another deep discount night), kids club ( $20.00 to join and get 5 kid ticket vouchers for games), new merchandise, very competitive team, damn what else do you want ?
try showing up to the games, bring friends, support the sponsors, come to the coaches show.
ok i will get off my soap box for now. |

Part of the problem goaliejudge is the lack of home games. They canceled the opener and we did have the two last weekend, but trying to follow the team early on the radio is hard without knowing the team in person. The camera issue is old but something that needs changing early to make the season better. The site will be back to Cyclone talk after two more home games. |

bags you are missing the point, or more precisley you made the point your self, lack of interest, so what that the opening night game was moved and the team is on a road trip, they are still the cyclones. all the complainets of no radio were addressed this year so now there is a radio station to listen too, 2 of the last 3 were on the radio so fans could listen but again no one seems to be interested enough to post any thing concerning the game before or after.
as far as getting to know the team, two home games, an open house, a cook-out open to all and coaches show where all the team was at, thats a lot face to face time available to those who want to get to know the team

The open house and cook outs is great to meet the players personally, but I am more interested in seeing them play.We had no Cincinnati area preseason games and only two home games. It was my fault of missing the first game but I'm sure others also missed one of those two games. The excitement is generated by watching the team play and I showed my interest in the team strong enough to buy season tickets for my wife and myself.Don't ever accuse me of lack of interest in the team or any of the others with season tickets. This isn't the Reds or Bengals with corporations buying tickets or the snobs that buy tickets and only go to the big games. |

Just because there weren't posts on a message board about a game doesn't mean people weren't interested. I listened to the whole game through the B2 video feed (I couldn't watch it because the video froze up the entire time after about halfway through the first period).
Your thoughts really shouldn't be directed towards the people in this board. These are the ones who are diehard fans and bother to take the time to write these posts about the team (and a good portion of us have been doing so for a long time) , as well as go to the off-ice events such as the cook-outs, coaches shows, ect, as well as every home game as well as the first game in Dayton that you mentioned.
We all know that getting the non-hockey fans and casual fans is a ginormous problem that can't seem to get fixed, and I agree with you that they are doing a lot of discounts this year which I thought they should have done more of last year. Last year they labeled a random night a "Pack The House" Night when there was absolutely nothing more to show of it than a regular home game. Even in the abysmal 03-04 season (or the funeral season as I like to refer to it as) they had commercials ect for the PTH night, had $5 seats, and got people in. The Throwback Night with $6 seats and discounted concessions/merchandise is a great idea, but they need to ADVERTISE the hell out of it this week. Commercials, billboards, ect. It will probably also be time that the Enquirer finally noticed something once a year and will write about it due to the Stingers connection. |

| I listened to the game last night. It's a hard game to follow on the radio but it sounded good. I like what Hammer is doing. I'm not one to usuallt start a post but will always add my 2 cents worth. As for Cyclone hockey being dead...HELL NO. Just because we don't revolve our lives around it by talking all day every day doesn't mean we are not interested. I listen to games I'm not at or check the site for updates. |

Ditto. Some of us haven't had much time since that game to mention anything, between being up bright and early for work and driving to Dayton. |
