It still doesn't say how the accident happened but at 430am you can only imagine that the driver fell asleep at the wheel. It makes you wonder if it's worth if for these teams to be making these trips late at night like they do.
The biggest problem they would have with staying overnight and leaving the next morning is the cost the team would incur for their stay. They would also lose a day that could be used for practice as well. It just sucks that this happend.
I understand that cost is a big issue but when you're putting peoples lives (and careers) on the line by driving through the night it kind of makes the money seem worth it
I was just looking at their schedule last week and they played in Dayton Tuesday night, so I'm sure they stayed over here or Dayton Tuesday night so I can see not staying another night. It's just one of those things like Wheeling's bus breaking down or a Zamboni going down. I just hope this wasn't a "third rate driver" but I haven't heard anything negative yet about him or the bus. I think it was just a black wednesday for Elmira and hope all the players and driver come out of it with just a story to talk about.
