I posted this on the "This Date In Cyclones History" Thread over at http://p202.ezboard.com/This-Date-In-Cyclones-History/fcincysportsfrm21.showMessage?topicID=726.topic, figured I would mention it over here also. It is in honor of my favorite Cyclones player of all-time, Geoff Sarjeant.

The Cyclones drop a 6-3 decision to the Kansas City Blades
Geoff Sarjeant picked up the loss in net for Cincinnati. It would be "Sarje's" last game in a Cyclones uniform, as a week later on December 3, he was traded to the Detroit Vipers in exchange for another goaltender, Jani Hurme, and forward Phil Crowe. Hurme would finish out the year with the Cyclones posting a 14-9-2 record, before spending four seasons in the NHL.
Ironically, Sarjeant would be then be traded to the rival Indianapolis Ice before the season was over. He would face his former team in the playoff's in which the Ice would win after winning the last two games of the three-game series (Cincinnati won the first).
Sarjeant, my personal favorite Cyclones player of all time, holds the following IHL Cyclones records:
Career Wins: 63
Shutouts: 7
Saves: 3573 |

| YES- it was what many of us thought was the beginning of the end:( I believe that Biggs went to the UTAH GRIZZLES at that time. I just remember Sarge's first game back in Cincinnati after the trade...WOW what great memories of great times watching hockey in the Queen City. I pray for the GLORY DAYS to return again! |
