Yes what can you say about the game last night.First off,the reason for the
promotion was great and the jerseys actually didn't turn out bad.But that ice-
please never again like that!!! After the resurface, the pink was at it's worse.
After about 10 minutes play the color was bearable. The highlight of the game
was in the first period,new goalie Maxime Daigneault showed me what he was made
of. With the Johnstown player standing in front of him IN THE CREASE, Maxime use
an upward chop between the legs to quickly send the message "This is My Space".
The message must have worked because plenty of space was given the rest of the
night.Odd stat,our end of the rink had 8 goals scored while the other had 0.
Thanks Milwaukee for sending us a goalie we can play tough with.I'm looking
forward to Sunday and WHITE ice. |

it like the guys got out to the early lead and then decided to take the foot off the gas because they had 2 more games to play this weekend. johnstown got 2 goals to make a game of it and the boys put the foot back on the gas and put them away. daignealt did an incredible job. the two goals that johnstown did score were both on the PP and were shot through screens.
if the cyclones commit to skating for a full 60 minutes i don't think there is a team that can consistantly play with them night in and night out. the problem is getting them to skate for the full 60 minutes. it seems recently it has been a case of good period/bad period. if the boys skate they end up creating a lot of space in the offensive end and they take that space away on defense. in the second period they got dominated by johnstown because they didn't skate. in the 3rd that started moving their feet again and got us another pulled pork snadwich. |
