At first I thought maybe they just didn't want such a random high number compared to all the rest, but that theory didn't go anywhere as Beareugard wears # 82. So now my guess is just that they mis placed the numbers when they first printed the jerseys so they just went with it.
JM was #26 in the QMJHL and when he came to Cincinnati they gave him #62 which he was OK with But he switch it back this year for his Mom B/C his mom always seen him play as 26 not 62 that's what he told me. And when he switch it back he didn't tell his Mom she found out that night when she was Listening/looking at game stats. She was happy from what he told me.
That was pretty sweet of him to just change the number and have it be a surprise for his mom. I actually like him wearing the 26 a lot more to tell the truth, I thought 62 was very random like someone had already said.
