Last Sunday I sent an E-mail to Sharon Turco asking her if
the Enquirer could give us some credit in the PROS-CONS section
about making the playoffs. Gee what a shock that we didn't make
it,but they sure know where we are to slam us with a negative.
Hey management, are you ready for an afternoon baseball crowd
before our evening playoff game. How about do everything possible
to keep the people over for our game.Get Twister out there and
the swarm girls. Give out discount coupons to the crowd coming for
the baseball game and the hockey fans too. Set up the hockey shot
booth and have a small target to win a playoff ticket.WORK THE
CROWD and prove to the arena your serious about the team. |

First, let me say, I am in no way defending the Enquirer. I have written numerous letters and have made many calls stating my displeasure with the lack of coverage for the Cyclones. However, I don't think Sharon was the correct person to email regarding pro-and cons. If I am not mistaken, I think she writes stories of local interest. When she wrote the article about the arena asking the team to leave, it was in the local section. She could have forwarded your request to the sports editor......not that that would have done any good.
Your suggestions for next Saturday's game were good. You need to call the Clones office. |
