Nice article. I agree with ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna when he says the Cyclones are the most honest team in the league with attendance. I have to disagree with the statement by the GM of U.S. Bank Arena and the Cyclones that they don't give away free tickets. I could go to as many games as I wanted without opening my wallet but I don't think that's the right way to support a team so I pay for my tickets.
They're trying hard and starting to see a reward for the effort. Hopefully they've turned the corner and the best is yet to come. |

| I enjoyed the article also, it was nice to see something in print that was positive.....I felt that the "expansion" inplication was nice...and hope its's not just smoke, I have a more simplistic veiw of the NHL in this city, I have got my fair share of bashing from other boards I have posted on reguarding this, Coulumbus aside but I feel this city to be more of a "major league" city. Alot of Folks just go to major league event...not because they enjoy the sporting event...just because its pro sports.I feel that alot of the Reds and bengals attendance are folks going because the Major League atmosphere they provide......add in an ownership that wants to promote a "winning team" and I feel that it could work...however I have one problem....I'm a few billion dollars short on my master plan to bring them here......Cincy could get NHL playoff fever...I swear, finally someone that wants to win.....if an NHL team dropped in here one day, started winning..it would be an instant success. team up somehow with Reds baseball or football. After all the Bengals lived through the 90s with 40,000 so poor souls that walked through their turnstiles like cows going to slaughter without any hope of being great...this town is ripe for a winner. I nwould believe that the media would have no choice to provide more coverage as well. being it was a Major league sport...despite what they say about interest......(Insert pipe dream if you must)...i've heard it before......imagine Feb 8th at 7:30pm...your NHL Cincinnati Cyclones vs The Carolina Hurricanes.......pinch me |

| A good idea would be to have a pre-season NHL game here first to see what kind of attendance it could draw and see the interest that way. But, you would need someone with money to bring a one time event to the area to see what would happen. It would be interesting to see if people in this area are interested in NHL quality hockey. |

| I honestly don't know but my first thought is that the reporter probably got it wrong and USBA may be looking to bring in the AHL instead of the NHL as stated in the article. I have my doubts that we could get NHL in any case but even if they are working in that direction we should go to the AHL first. I don't see anybody jumping straight from ECHL to NHL. |
Get Clones instead of Clunkers.

Several years ago, the Phila Flyers played somebody (Pittsburgh?) here. Attendance was very good as I recall.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Oh yeah-I remember that at the Gardens. For the Philly-Calgary game I was stupid enough to think I was getting great tickets by sitting in Row A against the glass on the side. I remember they were so un-used to putting ice down that there was a delay of something like 45 minutes before it started, and the ice was real real soft. Hakeedude |

I remember the exhibition Florida Panthers doubleheader when OUR game was better than the NHL game. A higher league doesn't always mean a better game! |
