GREAT time tonight. $325 later, I got LOTS of stuff from the auction. Got to talk to a lot of the players I haven't met before. The wife was calling them all babies because they looked you young. If you weren't there, you missed out. Thanks Sherry and the fan club for a GREAT night!!

BTW, I had a good time, but what was with the camera rule? I understand that they were selling pictures WITH the players, but as far as just pictures of the event... I thought that was stupid. Just my opinion!

Yes, I was on with Mo Egger (sp) on 1530. He was talking about the Clones and wanted to hear from a fan, so I called. Cait...I agree with you on the camera bit. It was dumb, but, what can you do. I got a team photo with me at the end of the night, but I wish I could have used it throughout the night.

Haha yah, not a problem with calling in! I was glad to hear they were even talking about the team! Glad you got your picture at the end of the night! I think I was in line paying for my Storky shirt when you were doing that! Hahaha...

I couldn't believe how cheap the shirts went!! When the Ducks did their annual "GET FED BY THE DUCKS" events at Max n Ermas, they did the signed tshirts that they wore for the night, and some of them went over $200!

Oh and btw the camera rule sucked. They told my wife that she better put her's away b4 kimmy took it. YEA RIGHT she wasn't getting 1 on 1 pic's and every1 was snapping pics. I would love them to try an take my wife's camera they would need that cop to help B/C my wife and i would have went off. I paid my $30 I should be allowed to take any pic I wanted as long as It wasn't a 1 on 1 with the players. I can get them anytime after the game. It was B/C they are doing Scrap books and some ppl are doing a book and they didn't want them taking pics. But besides that it was a great time and I look forward to doing it again next year

I'd kind of like to know the details behind the whole no camera thing. As a member of the fan club who has volunteered to continue making scrapbooks for 2 players, even though I have moved away from Cincinnati, I rely on other fans for my pictures for my books. I really don't understand why they wouldn't allow people to take snap shots (I get that they were selling pics WITH THE GUYS so that would be a no go).

Folks, as a member of the fan club I feel like I must say something. In all of my years as a member & the time we've been doing this event, it has always been stated that no personal cameras were allowed. True I don't think it's right BUT this is a charity event to raise money for that chosen group. May I suggest that if you all have better ideas in regards to this that you e-mail the fan club? Our web site is www.cyclonesfanclub.com

Jes, that was EXACTLY what I said... the pics WITH, I understand... but other than that, no. And no member of the fan club should be threatening taking peoples' cameras away. That's just ridiculous. I am NOT a member of the club, but was asked to take pictures by NUMEROUS people, including players and fan club members that weren't there.
And Susan, we took pictures last year with NO problems. Nothing was EVER said to us. Maybe there were signs up about it last year too, but I really don't remember that at all. I'm sure most of the fan club reads this board. If they want to contact me they can. My posts will stand. |
