and this is what we get in returned for some undermined length of time. from what i can gather from the article he was in san antonio of the chl. now if this was a trade chuck had pulled i would scratch my head a bit but then realize what he,dean and the players have accomplished this season and decide maybe he does know what he is doing afterall. however, since this is a move orchestrated by MTL i feel far less certain. for those who don't know MTL seems to have this "thing" about brother combinations-most notably at this point on the roster are the Kostitsyns but also apparently the Ryder and Koivu bros (from a post in the fan forum regarding Latendresse). i just hope MTL and the powers that be made up there made this trade on more than just a name.... link below....

| Yea i couldnt figure out much myself but per multiple sources cory has been traded for Olivier Latendresse and Olivier is expected to join the team (in the next few days i guess?). that's the only article i could find. it did come from the montreal official site in the fan forum under the thread about Olivier. |

| in the event this is true and verified at some point in a language that i can read...it sucks. cory is a different player this year than last (last year i would have been glad to see him go)...apparently he finally realized that assists ARE points. |

yea i am not sure if it was announced at the coach's show or what but apparently there were people who had heard about it. i would certainly like to be wrong but it seems that the rumors are true..i think it would be too much of a coincidence for all the details except for the player MTL traded to be accurate. |

It is true. I was at the radio show last night & Cory has been placed with the Arizona Sundogs of the CHL. That's also the team that Adam Wood is currently playing for.

Lets just keep our fingers crossed that this trade amounts to something. Urkel had been doing really well lately, and we're gonna need someone to make up for his points now that he's gone. Whether or not he believes assists count or not :) |

copy and paste the article URL onto that site, and it's supposed to translate it pretty clearly. |

ok so in reading that article is says "loaned" till the end of the season and that terms will be announced at the end of the season. does this mean there is a possibility that both players could return to their original teams? i mean what if this guy tanks? it would be nice to be able to send him back to phoenix and have cory back in the organization? |

I guess technically that's a possibility, but I would assume both teams would have to make that agreement. If they really like Cory, and we don't like the FNG then I doubt they're gonna wanna reverse the call. I guess time will only tell... |

http://www.cycloneshockey.com/news_data.php?article=00410 What I read from the Cyclone's site sounds like this is a tryout maybe for both players and my guess is if both teams are happy the deal will be made at the end of the season. Maybe the idea is more compensation may be needed from one side for the deal,so they leave it as "loaned" so this can be worked out later. |

Makes sense to me. So if one team wasn't 100% satisfied, they would bargain to get more for their money, and if the other team didn't want to work with it, the players would return to their original teams. |
