| Boy, today I was afraid that the paper might actually publish a tidbit about the game or the possible record streak, glad to see that their record is still nearly perfect on leaving out the Clones,(sacrasm).....however for those of you who were sitting on the edge of your seats waiting for state high school swimming coverage and of all things High school freaking bowling, you can find those rather large articles on pages C4/C5......It's a damn good thing my high school didn't have a bowling team,( I've enjoyed bowling as an adult with my 2 children with bumpers on the lanes) however if my old high school would have had a bowling team, they would have had to be in some type of protective lockdown to prevent my footbal team from beating the crap out of them, no offense to those of you who enjoyed bowling in high school |

| No sh**. Pretty bad when the HS coverage is bigger. Heck, these boys aren't much older. Any of them win 15 in a row? |

| HFH, thanks for the info, but I went straight to my paper after your post, my digest section was missing the Cyclones thing all together. Lebanon is such hot bed for bowling and swimming interest, I thought I had missed the Cyclones sentence reading all the high school bowling, swimming and wrestling coverage in the warren County edition of the papaer....you guys are soooo lucky to have sooo much cyclones coverage in the Hamilton county edition(sarcasm) |

| Slapshot, I really think it comes down simply to one thing and thats total lact of respect and interest from the sports departments in our city......maybe it's the editors, writers, Cincy media seem really not to acknowlege Hockey as big 4 sports, maybe if a "northerner" were to take up shop who actually knows abit about hockey, and have an interest in the sport then maybe. for example, how in the world could Miami hockey right now not be getting as much coverage as it is. This Redhawk team has a legitamate shot at taking it all, and very little coverage. I thought it was personal, somehow the Clones pi$$ed of someone at the Enquirer But I'm beginning to think that they(media) just isn't interested. Only if a NHL team were to come in, I think that the media would be forced( to their disliking) to cover it. I've heard that if there was more interest in Hockey in this town then the coverage would be there, but even the early 90s when the Clones were actually selling out, there still was little coverage. I have since abandoned that idea just tonight when I saw a rather large article on High school bowling. I cannot believe that there are many subscribers hanging on to there subscriptions because of the Bowling coverage. So that whole explination about the attendance and selling papers, and making a decision to cover sports that the city is interested in, I believe that even on the Clones darkest weekday 500 fan attendance numbers, it still out numbers the folks who read the bowling article.......That High school bowling article must have been a joke or something |

| I hope it was a joke but unfortunately i dont think it was. I think you're right about the NHL thing.. with the reds and bengals cincinnati really only cares about major league teams, Its sad to say but we might just have to give up on te hope of good media coverage |

Right on the money here SCUBA.
I was also given the excuse from the Enquirer's sports editor (can't remember his name) that they "don't have the staff to send to every Cyclones game to know what to report." I then asked if he would like me to email him every night with an article and photos free of charge. He laughed. |

| Everytime the Enquirer calls me to get a subsciption I tell them I am not interested. They then ask why, and I tell them I do not care for high school sports, and that you do not cover my Cincinnati Cyclones or hockey in general. I always put the emphasis on "Cincinnati" when I say Cincinnati Cyclones. |

You can bet the Enquirer would put on the front page if a player got arrested. The Enquirer is only good for reporting negative news-not positive. That's why you don't see as much UC basketball-Huggins and his thugs are gone. |

Your right bags, all I ever read is the negative news.
Have any of you ever gone to the cincinnati.com homepage and click on the drop down menu, every major league sport is there and major college teams including Miami! WTF! Cincinnati doesn't even give the cyclone that! |
