i do believe it's chuck who makes all the deals so at least in that regard i feel a little better. he hasnt gone wrong (YET) so lets hope he is right about this one...from the article on the team site he seems confident in the FNG's abilities....

In Chuck We Trust... but don't always 100% understand???
I agree that Max is gonna need rest, but I don't really want to lose every game he's benched. On the bright side, we've gotten this far with Gerard being injured for awhile... maybe we won't miss him as much as we think?? We can only hope... |

On paper it definitely does not look good. We lose one of our better defensemen which is our most lacking position already and gain a goalie who has a terrible record. On the other hand, I've never seen Chuck pull off a move without it being strategic. Perhaps he knows Rudkowsky has some real talent, but look at the team he is on. They are the 4th worst team in the ECHL.
Looking over his stats, the guy has been a journeyman. He actually had a pretty decent year for Reading in 03-04 (I knew that named seemed familiar), going 24-18, and going 25-11 in 05-06. In 02-03 he actually registered a win with the St. Louis Blues (a cereer undefeated record in the NHL)!
It could also mean that Chuck knows we are getting some d-men back from the AHL soon to just blindly deal away Miller. |

keep in mind PHX is a bad team and judging from the numbers they give up a ton of shots. this guy is 2nd in the league in saves. it's hard to put up good numbers if you're getting pelted with a ton of shots. the 'clones are probably near the top of the list when it comes to giving up the fewest number of shots, so lets give the guy a chance and see how he does with a real defense in front of him.
as far as losing gerard "gerald" miller goes, i'm sad to see him go. he was a solid d-man that liked to think offensively when the time was right. however, the boys did go 16-0 with out him.... |

No need to stress. He's played in the armpit of the E for a few years (okay, not quite P'Cola but bad)... look at his numbers with Reading where he spent 3 years. He isn't a bad goaltender. If you remember him at all from the days of Peoria & Reading, you'll remember, he's pretty good. And he's got a decent D in front of him here... he's going to play for a team that regularly scores 4-5 goals in a night, so things will change.
Besides, he is a backup. It's good to know you have a veteran to back up Max, in case he gets tired/etc. |

Everybody stop a second and listen to yourself. All I've heard was "the backup goalie is our video man" and we need a real back-up. Now when we have a "real" backup, you complain because he doesn't have all star stats! What I see is a solid ECHL level goalie and that's what we needed. Maybe we won't go back to a one to one rotation of goalies but at least I hope we go with a 3-1 or 2-1 rotation and give him a chance. This franchise has made most all goalies play to all-star level and I love the fact we now have two REAL goalies. |

WTF you think Lee was? he was a REAL GOALIE until he took the video job just to stay with the team. Since he never played much and he don't have many stats ,who's to say that Lee isnt the goalie we are looking for? He may be a diamond in the rough. You never Know. |

| Hey at least he is what I consider a real goalie, and that is certainly better than a backup who's a cameraman. I realize that Landsdowne has had some hockey experience but still I feel better with a goalie that has some recent stats. So this guy's stats aren't too great but it's a start and now maybe Max can get rest and maybe we can still win some games. I will take someone who's got some AHL and NHL experience anyday over a cameraman. That's just my $.02 |

To ClonesFanNKY, I never said anything bad about Lee and if you see my posts,I even brought up the link to his past stats. I can't believe the coach would have gone to California with someone he was afraid to put on the ice in an emergency. The facts are unless Milwaukee and Hamilton don't make the playoffs that Dov and Cedrick are gone. We still have Lee in our corner and I bet he wears the goalie equiptment during the week to help out,but Cory looks like a more "EXPERIENCED" backup goalie.Maybe if the last game means nothing,it would be great to activate Lee and let him in a real game. I give the coach credit for keeping Lee around just in case we needed a goalie. That's life in the ECHL |

You can't blame us for being worried. We went from 2 brick walls to one good guy and another one we're not too sure about. We're just looking at numbers right now, and of course time will tell... I realize we need a goalie other than Landsy, but good gracious WE WERE SPOILED WITH WHAT WE HAD A FEW WEEKS AGO! And now it's getting closer to playoffs and we're all just getting nervous!! |

| Rudkowsky has been around a long time and had some good years in the ECHL. He has also played 109 games at the AHL level and even 1 NHL game. His recent stats look bad because he was with a bad team. Chuck Weber says he is a quality goalie and after seeing this team win every game in the month of February I am more then willing to trust Chuck's opinion. |
