| Guys relax. The AHL Clear Day rosters don't have certain guys on them. Those guys will have to come back because they aren't eligible to play in the AHL playoffs. McElroy, Diagnault, Daoust and MacDonald will be back b/c they were not on AHL Clear Day rosters. If Hamilton continues to tank, Ced and Martin will also be back. This is going to work itself out, just be patient. I can't see Hamilton and Milwaukee not giving us an opportunity to win this thing after all the players Chuck has developed for them. I really think these call-ups are temporary. Maybe Russell will be here too if Hamilton continues to slide. |

| Forgot to mention that Sixsmith was not on Milwaukee's Clear Day either and will be coming back. |

Very good points made by CF and WDD. Our playoffs start the last weekend of the ahl season, so after the first couple games of the opening series we should get our guys back. I think we'll be just fine in the first couple games against Dayton or Johnstown. We handle Dayton just fine and we're 9-1 against J-town and just took 5 out of 6 points against them this week with our depleted roster.
Hamilton lost again tonight and Syracuse won, so Hamilton is now 10 points back with 11 games to play. As bad as things are going there I don't see them turning on a switch really quick and winning 5 or 6 in a row. At this point they probably realize they're done if they hadn't already noticed the day Montreal traded Huet and Hamilton lost Halak. |

It's tough enough to make up 10 points. It's even tougher to make up 10 points and pass 2 or three teams like Hamilton will have to in order to get in. I think what is most important is how early is Hamilton eliminated. If they go like they are right now, we will have guys back before the regular season ends. |

We could get a few guys back early but unfortunately they will need to keep our goalie until their season ends. |

Yes, they both are but Daignault is not. That does not prevent Dov or Ced from playing here though. It does mean that at a minimum Rudi and Daignault will be available. Chuck will just have to make a decision about who he is likely to get back when he makes out out playoff roster. I'm not sure of the deadline for ECHL playoff rosters though. |

A player doesn't have to be on the Clear Day list to play in the Calder Cup playoffs. Daoust, for example, can't play ahead of someone on the Clear Day list but he can play if there are players on the Clear Day list unavailable due to injury or call up to the NHL that would put Wilkes-Barre/Scranton under 18 skaters. AHL teams have players they list as being in residence, and those guys can play when AHL teams have players on the Clear Day list missing.
As for ECHL players going up to the AHL, keep in mind the reason why they've been called up to the AHL (injuries, recalls, trades that require a body to fill open spots). When a player gets called up from the ECHL to the AHL, more than 95% of the time it's because the AHL team needs a body because they have a depleted lineup due to injuries and recalls to the NHL. If Montreal doesn't trade one its goalies Desjardins is still in the ECHL with the Cyclones. Despite great numbers this season with the Cyclones, he's only in Hamilton because of circumstance. They needed a goalie because Carey Price was called up to Montreal. His performance didn't force Montreal's hand. |

| I think the ECHl playoff rosters aren't due till the week of the first games, but I am not 100% sure so don't quote me. But from what I remember you can gain and lose players during the whole PO part of the season, so regardless of who is on your roster at the start, they could be gone after the first game. |

Question on T.J. McElroy to Milwaukee. Why does Milwaukee have
to sign him to a PTO if he is recalled by Nashville for them?
Does this mean the Cyclones "willingly" allowed him to go to
Milwaukee. I know you want the players to have every chance at
the AHL,but did we have a chance to keep him and willingly left
him go when we need every live body we can find? Any answers ? |

| I really don't know the details of that specific deal but the coach's job is to get our players promoted. Holding them back is not good for the player or the affiliated teams. Who do you want to play / work for? The guy that will get you promoted or the guy that will hold you back to make himself look good? The more we get players promoted, the more good players will want to come play in Cincinnati. |

Well said, this could almost be a quote out of Weber's mouth from one of the Coaches Shows when we were discussing this topic. As DonnieHockey mentioned, a lot of call-ups happen because of injuries in the higher leagues. At the same time, we have had some guys get called up for their performances... and this shows how well Chuck has done to help develop the skills of the players we have dealt with this season (I know, a whole slew!). These call-ups are dreaded for us on a selfish level, because we want the good guys, and we want to win. But in the players position, that call is somewhat their dream. There is no way that Chuck is going to say, "Hey buddy, you know the AHL called and wanted you to come play for them but I told them no because we really need you here." He knows exactly what those calls mean to them, and he isn't going to keep them from living their dream. |
