| Mr. security at the USBA confiscated my 2 year old daughters unopened bag of goldfish crackers, His reasoning was we are not allowed to bring in outside food, luckly they didn't confiscate my wife's boobs, she is nursing our three month old! I tried to reason with them and try to convince them that chicken strips and a beer really isn't my idea of 2 year olds finger foods, same goes for the angus burger and nanchos and donato's pizza. As for yesterday, same said goldfish were allowed to flop inside without a word from anyone! What the hell is wrong with these people? seriously, almost as though they were taking candy from a baby! Now for the ushers, someone was sitting in our seats....so I just moved to another area, well you guessed it, the ushers came over with another couple and they made us move. I told her that someone was in our seats and if she could assist asking another group to move....I went over to our seats and turned around and the usher was no where to be seen, luckly I usually don't have aproblem speaking my mind, they were cool and simply moved.........obviously most of you know we are season ticket holders so i'm not bashing of course,we'll yeah I am, I'm bashing the inept USBA staff, however the Clones staff has to put a little pressure on the USBA staff, I think we are at a new and exciting time, I believe that we are about to see the dawn of something good for the Clones and attendance, and for the city. I've seen and felt the atmoshphere in the USBA that I haven't felt in a long time...but they have got to do something about the USBA staff...Sorry so lengthy, i'm going to go and eat some goldfish now..........oh yeah, go freaking Clones, finish this thing |

| I believe the USBA staff thinks hockey fans are nothing but hooligans, but the Cyclones staff is pressuring them to be friendly to the hockey fan. When I took the little one to the Doodlebops a few weeks back they all greeted me, asked to show me my seat were ok with her snacks and sippy cups. When we went to the Clones games they tried to empty her sippy cups. Until I made a fuss about it. So F U arena staff! |

To add to this thread.......I went to get tickets for the next several games, (during the first intermission break) and found the inside ticket windows closed! Saw a someone coming out and told him that I wanted to get tickets for the next couple of games and asked why the windows were not open. Was told by this uneducated moron, that the ticket window would not be open, that the 'next series' of tickets would not go on sale till after this round was over. Found out later, the ticket office did open during the second intermission and most of the third period. I could of gone back, but was more important to me to watch the game!!
All I can say is that there is no doubt about all of this except to say that the USBA staff need some SERIOUS training in all areas of customer support!!! From the sometimes rude and inept ticket office staff to the ushers and to the security staff. If you get one of the more season staff members of USBA, you have no problems and they go out of their way to be of help.........these others???? well we can all agree they need training!! |

Like I said on the other thread-they took my bottle cap because they said people were throwing them. It's easy to say boycott the concession booths but then you suffer through the game with no food or drinks. |

We all know the bottles will do more damage than the cap! |

I guess getting candy in depends where you enter. Friday the went through my wifes bag and saw her bag of candy and didn't say anything. I'm not sure how big of box the Gold Fish was but, next time if they say something you could say your a diabetic. I wonder if they would still take it if you claimed a medical problem. I will compliment them on finally getting the dollar beer nights right!! Beer lines weren't half around the arena like on Stingers night. |

The USBA staff are idiots. Always have been, and always will be. And it's a shame that they are the ones there when we have such enjoyable Cyclones hockey to watch. Part of the problem is that a lot of the ushers, concession workers, ect all work for the same company in which they also usher Bengals, Reds, college games, ect. So they treat hockey like they do a Bengals game where they actually have to tell people where their tickets are in the concrete jungle that is PBS and deal with hundreds of drunks a game. I have been to a weeknight Cyclones game where attendance is in the triple digits and treated with more concern than when I'm at a Reds game.
One thing I have never had trouble with though was ushers coming to me to tell me to go to my right seats. The tickets I get are different every game, and I have only sat in my right seat once all year (9,500 Fan Appreciation Night). Never told to move. But I understand other people get harassed for it.
As far as sneaking stuff in, I haven't in a while but I used to regularly sneak in Mt. Dews and other pop. Just jam it in your pocket and the jersey has it covered, they never know. It is ridiculous that they wouldn't let your 2-year old have food, there's absolutely no condoning that. |

Used to regularly sneak in foot-long subways.
Absolutely no excuse for hassling someone for goldfish crackers to keep their two-year old happy. Oh-I forgot---they sell goldfish crackers inside... now I understand, not. |

Speaking of sneaking things into the game... The first year we were downtown, two people I sit with actually smuggled in TWO LARGE Pizza's!!! It was FUNNY... They stuck the LARGE Pizza box under their Jerseys and walk right in past the ticket taker. I watched them come in to see if they had any problems.. the funny bit was you could PLAINLY see TWO LARGE box-shaped objects under their Jerseys!!! They made it in without any problems...and Pizza was had by all! |
