First two games will be away because of this. Can you say ROAD TRIP? |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

| As much as I hate to say this... my daughters will take Elmo over hockey and I will be in the house for his redness. I hope the cotton candy stays at its regular price. I paid $15 for a snow cone at the circus. |

| I can't say I am surprised but it stinks that we would get stuck with games on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (if needed). I also have something scheduled that Tuesday night so I will be dragging at work all week. Oh well. I have been waiting all season for this and given any option at all I will be at every home game regardless of when they are scheduled. |

| Same here.. nothing like waking up early for class after a late night at a game... oh well, I'll live. Sucks for those who aren't going to be able to make it thought because of the weeknight games. |

On the brighter side of the schedule, at least we will not have to compete with the REDS for those first home dates. They are on the road that week.
If the word gets out, have a full week and a half, might be able to put more butts in the seats than the usual weeknight crowds. |

| If the Reds keep playing like they are now, I don't think we will have to worry about any competition from them. |

| We'll always have to worry about reds competition as far as our parking and the prices for it go. |

Bad dates to be sure. But, this is just the Division Finals. 2 more rounds to go after this round. Best I can determine, this is the last scheduling conflict that the Clones will face. I'd rather have weekend games in the latter rounds.
Hopefully the management just accepts small round 2 crowds and doesn't fool itself into thinking that heavy (read: expensive) marketing will overcome the bad dates. They'll have 2 more rounds to spend their advertising dollars. It will also remind them that although great progress has been made in terms of attendance, that much remains to be done in building a fan base which will come to mid-week games. This will probably re-enforce the need for extensive off season promtotion. At least I would hope so. |

I don't believe that working to build "a fan base which will come to mid-week games" is the answer. If all the games were on weekends I would probably upgrade to full season tickets instead of half season. I can deal with a few week day games, especially during playoffs, but long term I am not going to attend a lot of weekday games no matter how much they are promoted and I can't believe I am alone in that position. People work and have kids in school during the week making week night games a bad option no matter how much the games are promoted.

If we're stuck with weekday games, make the most of them.Bring on dollar beer, pop, hot dogs,50 cent popcorn and maybe a t-shirt giveaway.Do what gave us our best crowds. |

| This schedule really stinks! I won't be able to attend this round at all. I have to wake up for work at 1:00 a.m. There is no way I could make it to a weekday game. For those of you that do make it, please be extra loud to cheer for those of us that can't be there. GO CLONES! |

The only bad thing I can take from this is just its weekdays. other than that I think this is a great schedule for the most part, especially if people plan on road tripping, you get the weekend now!
But its still a bummer that the games at homea ren't on weekends at all, but like it was said, bring back all the promotions that got us big crowds! |

| Yep.. it does make for an easier roadtrip, but sucks for those who can't make it. Fortunately, I'll be able to be there... tired the next day when I wake up for work/class but I'll be there! I love that the Reds don't play at home as well! |

No doubt that mid week games will always be a tough proposition for attendance due to the reasons that you cited. I was looking at it in terms of increasing the base to a point where "crowds" in the triple digits are eliminated. The only way that the vast majority of games would be Fri/Sat would be if the league reduced the schedule to 64 games or so. Or if US Bank would solidly commit a very large number of weekend dates to the team. I don't forsee either happening.
The Reds probably draw 50-60% for a midweek game compared to a weekend game. That's the type of improvement I'd like to see. The Cyclones are probably only averaging about 33% using the same comparison-based on post Jan 1 attendance figures excluding the "Edu. in Hockey" games. This figure must improve to make the team viable. The larger the fan base, the better the week day crowd I would think. |
