The Cyclones should put up a big sign offering anyone with Red's tickets for
that day can exchange them for a Cyclone's ticket at half price.Maybe you
could snag some fans away. Knowing the Red's, a complaint to Hamilton County
would probably get us in trouble ! |

The parking issue is bunk anyway. The Reds and Bengals should stop the price increase
of the lots on game day and the City should not be allowing the river shuttles and the
Tank buses to drop off without charge. What I've heard is Metro is not allowed over
into Kentucky, but Tank is allowed to come over here.The County needs to quit killing
us on parking fees and ticket fees and work with the teams.I will probably park down
at Sawyer point or up in a garage uptown. I will not pay $12 or $15 to park in our
normal $6 lot.If this team was the NHL, the lot would be $12 a game every day. |

Parking at various arenas that I paid this year:
Colorado: Parking $15, ticket $108 (16th Row, endzone) NHL
San Jose: Parking $20, ticket $110 (10th Row, endzone) NHL
Columbus: Parking $15, ticket $42 (Upper Bowl, center) NHL
Detroit: Parking $15, ticket $158 (Upper Bowl, endzone) Playoffs NHL
Dallas: Parking $15, ticket $78 (25th row, endzone) NHL
Cleveland: Parking $10, ticket $26 (14th row, endzone) AHL
LA Parking $20, ticket: gratis NHL
Phoenix Parking $20, ticket: gratis NHL
Anaheim Parking $20, ticket: $78 NHL (20th row, endzone) NHL
Texas Tornado Parking $6, ticket $16 (1st row, endzone) NAHL
Suddenly $6 to park and $10 to get in the door seems VERY Reasonable!
Last year the East garage was passes only during Reds games. We ended up in front of GameDay Cafe for $10. |

$158 was the face value of the ticket. I received the ticket from the Cincinnati based company that advertises on the boards in Detroit. This was in last years Western Divsion Finals (Game 2)
I took my life into my own hands by wearing a Ducks jersey.
Contrary to what attendance they report there were plenty of seats available in both upper and lower bowls. |

I can see why Detroit is no longer selling out every game. I understand about 'charging what the market will bear', but pricing like this-$158 for an upper bowl seat-seems to be seriously pushing the envelope. Especially given the state of the Michigan economy.
I would imagine that a season ticket in Detroit equivalent to where I sit at the Clones games runs at least $125 per ticket. I paid $8 and change for mine next season. Detroit would be about 15 times that per game. Sure, I'd rather be watching the NHL, but when I consider that the price of my ticket buys me 4 minutes of an NHL game I am quite pleased to be able to see the Cyclones very good hockey at a very, very low price. |

Compared to every other sporting event in this town and others the Cyclones are a bargin. I believe the Florence Freedom are about the same. There was an article in the Enquirer a few days ago that said a family of four for a Reds game would put you back $167. That price was one of the lower in MLB.
I personally prefer the minor leagues as the guys there are trying(ie. running out pop outs, trying to chase down iced pucks, etc.)
One of the major misconceptions over the AHL returning to the Gardens was parking was going to be free and the prices were going to be the same as the 04-05 season. That wasn't going to happen. Yes, it wasn't going to be NHL level but it wasn't going to be $10 a game either. Sorry for kicking over that ant hill. |

We went last night to the discount cinema on the west side. Two tickets were $3 each,two
drinks and popcorn(took a free popcorn refill home)was $14. Parking free so total was $20.
Right now our night would be $6 parking, $10 each tickets,$7 two pops and $4 popcorn for
a grand total of $37. If you don't mind a little walking and you "sneak" some pop in,you
could get the night down to the $30 area. Our $10 ticket includes Hamilton County's cut
and the parking is all Hamilton,so only a little concession relief is possible on the
Cyclones part. Once again,THANK YOU Cyclones for lowering the tickets and giving the
non rich a chance for some reasonable price entertainment.Too bad we can't use free public
landing at least during the week. |
