| Now that we know who and where we are playing. |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

| I would have liked to have played Elmira instead, reading's been getting pretty good of late and elmira was going the opposite direction but hey, the clones can handle everyone and will hand reading with ease |

not so sure "hand reading with ease". They are just coming off a well played fight to win their series. They will no doubt have a lot of that same fight waiting for the Cyclones. I only know that our guys will be rested (and hopefully not rusted) come game time on Thursday.

Well Chuck should be pushing them hard in practice just to make them remember what being tired is gonna be like.
My coach used to do that when we had a break between games and it worked out amazing. |

| This playoff run isn't shaping up the way I would have thought, I'm not particurly afraid of Reading...I've never been and I don't believe I need to now,I would use caution however, their is little wrong with having comfidence. I thought J-town was going to be our nailbiter, But they rolled over. We need to go into Reading and take it to them...that would set a tone for our games home...If we roll into Reading and hand them their A$$es, Then they would dobout themselves in Cincy...It says alot for a teams record...they have not been able to beat us in the regular season so what in the world would make them believe that they could take 4 from us...thats more games then the regular season...I like our chances |

I continue to be amazed by the hubris of those who think this is going to be a cakewalk. If I'm not mistaken, only twice since 1988 has the Brabham Cup winner also taken home the Kelly Cup. That is testament to just how difficult a pursuit the championship is.
By all means, be confident. Enjoy the ride. This has, thus far, been a fantastic season. But, I am not yet ready to crown these guys the champs. We were up 3-1 last year against Dayton when a fan confidently told me we would win the series on home ice. The Clones proceeded to drop three straight. The proverbial fat lady has not begun to warm up. She has not even arrived and dressed for the occasion. |

| I kinda agree with the above post and ive been saying the same thing all season. That being said, this is a much better team than we had last year and it seems like they want it more now that they've had a tast of the playoffs and fell short. All the guys have said they didnt make it as far as they wanted to last year are arent going to go down easy this time. Either way this round should make for some good hockey. |

| I've certainly not crowned anyone champs, However just as bad as overcomfidence is...undercomfidence is just as bad, You sit on a game instead of taking it to Reading, Like I know we can and we allow the Royals to think they can win this...That my friends is what can get us in trouble. So many years I've waited on a team that I just know can win, Like the Patriots, Cowboys...A team that I feel cannot lose and we get that and all I hear is the Fat lady hasn't sung yet?, And yes I'm well aware of what happened last year, Lets take this thing to Reading..stab them in the Back and wiggle the blade. Sure be weary of them but I have seen NOTHING from Reading that proves otherwise that we might have trouble with them. I do however have the fat lady on speed dial |

We were 8-1-1 vs. Reading during the regular season. We have far better power play and penalty killing percentages. We have two outstanding goalies. We have the league's best offense led by league MVP Desharnais. Our defense is quite solid.
Reading has some decent scorers. But, on paper anyway, we blow them away. It's hard for me to see Reading beating us. Unless their goalie gets red-hot and we go into an offensive slump-something that is pretty difffcult to fathom given our depth-we almost have to win. I guess injuries and an unforseen call up could derail us as well.
Still, the Cyclones ought to enter this series high in confidence. Their performance to date warrants it.
Also, the comparisons to last year don't seem valid. This team is 30 points better than last year and has much more offensive firepower. We have completely dominated Reading to this point. Weber, I'm sure, has the team well prepared. The 10 players on the roster who were part of the Dayton disaster last season will certainly not fall prey to overconfidence. Further, Dayton and the Cyclones were very evenly-matched last season in terms of talent. Reading doesn't come close to matching ours this season.
My prediction: Cyclones in 5 or 6. Leaning toward 5.
There is no reason to think that the quest for the Cup will be derailed vs. the Royals. The Conference Finals are an entirely different matter. The Cyclones will be encountering unknown opposition.

| Why the hell would anyone be scared of Reading? This series should be over in 4, maybe 5 games. If we come back up 2-0 I seriously doubt it goes 5. Next round, if we see Texas, we might actually get a test but these divisional rounds aren't even going to be a challenge. There's the potential that we see some longer series once we get done dismissing Reading. And I don't really see anyone crowning these guys the champs yet, and I don't give a damn about last year's choke against Dayton. It's not the same team and it's not the same season. The Johnstown series was mostly a joke, and the Reading series should be more of the same. |

| If you were at the coaches show Monday you would know that they have some nice skill about to come their way from the AHL. I know we're great, but I don't think ANY team we face from here on out is gonna be cake. |
