| That was one brutal game. We really needed the win but obviously Reading wanted it more. I only hope we can win the next two and then win on saturday in Reading. I was hoping to see them win the series at home but I will take winning on the road. We went to Reading saturday for game two but will not be able to make it on saturday (if needed). |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

| I guess the word would be implosion. We couldn't figure out their neutral zone trap and gave up at least four breakaways on Cedric. We took stupid penalties and played like a group of guys back from the AHL who haven't played together all year long. |

| It was absolutely pathetic. We looked like a team playing the first preseason game of the season. Passes bouncing off of sticks, guys running into each other, puck sitting on the ice and nobody going for it. JM looks completely ridiculous out there. It looks like he's just going through the motions, just out there skating around. If he doesn't want to be here then send his ass home and we'll put someone in who wants to play. What the hell is up with Schmidt? The guy thinks he's a damn forward I guess. I counted 4 different times where the puck was dumped in and he goes and chases it all the way to the boards, then Reading chips it out and it's a 2 on 1 the other way because he's not playing his position and nobody else rotated over to cover for him. They just don't seem to care anymore. It's sad to see them flushing the season down the toilet to a mediocre at best Reading team. Hats off to Ceddy, Ehgoetz, Starling, BIB, and Reynolds, they were the only ones who gave a rats ass it seemed, but they can't carry an entire team. Anyone know the condition of Reynolds? That was a great no call elbow to the head by the ref. He called a bunch of ticky tack crap, but when someone gets elbowed into the boards it doesn't get called. Must win Wednesday or it's season over and try again next year. |

Heartless.. thats the only way to describe this team at this point. I dont understand how this team can do what they did during the regular season then do this in the playoffs. I also agree that JM needs to either put up or shut up. All the hype about him and hes looking useless right now. The game couldve been a lot worse if not for some amazing saves by ceddy but like stated before its a team effort and these guys arent doing that. We need to win out or its over in my mind. |

| We had no heart tonight and Reading acted like goons. End of statement, end of story.... and despite popular opinion, I was not the reason we lost tonight. The reason was said in my first sentence. Heart = victory = better chance at Kelly. Learn something from this, boys, and kick Reading around the next three games! |

I literally wanted to throw up i was so upset at how horrible we played. I don't know what going on out there at all but i agree with the afore mentioned opinons of Daoust. He was one of my favorite players and it really does seem like he doesnt want to be here.
I am concerned about Ceddy's mentality now though. He is a real, mental if you will, goalie and very intense. I don't want his moral to be down and that affect his playing. Its something i noticed when he was playing in Hamilton, maybe its all goalies but i know he takes loses really hard and personal like a good goalie should. He was still really great tonight, one of the best times i have seen him play. |

So out of sync that it flabbergasted me. The Clones couldn't make a stationary 15 foot pass to one another. They really did look like a team playing in their first exhibition game. I'm hoarse from saying "wtf" and "pathetic" all night long.
JM ought to be candidly approached by Weber and asked if he wants to be here. He is obviously not here mentally. If he cannot give Weber a definitive answer and promise of commitment it would be best for all concerned that he returns to W/B.
The team that "turned the other cheek" all season has now decided to openly slash and cross check and board opponents in the offensive and neutral zones in full view of the ref. Deitsch seems to have reverted to the same offensive/neutral zone penalty crap which he was prone to last season. He deserves to be benched if it happens even once more. Martin, Aubin and Daoust also exhibited some extraordinarily poor judgement/discipline in their penalties as well.
Reading has either spotted a weakness in the Clone's pp set-up or our passing judgement is just plain horrific. 3 or 4 odd man rushes resulted when we were on the pp. This has to be corrected NOW.
Weber is facing a very big challenge. He has a dispirited, disorganized and undisciplined group on his hands. His chance for advancement to the AHL next season probably rests on this series.
The job interview begins on Wednesday.

| Hamilton and Milwaukee, if the rumours I am hearing about Weber being promoted are true, have won the Calder Cup recently, so I know damn well that they will be looking for coaches who can win the cup for them again... heck, I would. If Cincinnati chokes in the playoffs, he can kiss any chance of promotion goodbye, and for that matter so can some of our players! |

Are Deitsch and Aubin even playing for the Cyclones anymore? They wouldn't even be noticeble if they weren't taking stupid penalties. Aubin had a scoring chance wide open in front of the goal and he fumbled the puck off his stick. WTF kinda crap is that? You can't do those kinda things in the playoffs. You get a chance you gotta bury it or at least make an effort. We'll find out tomorrow if Chuck is indeed the coach of the year. Right now Karl Taylor is serving Chuck his lunch. I know Chuck won't do it, but I hope he scratches JM and puts Bonneau in the lineup. Bonneau won't give you much scoring of course, but he'll skate hard every shift and leave it all on the ice. Also scratch piece of Schmidt and put Mcelroy back in for God sakes. What the hell is he thinking sitting TJ down. If your gonna have Schmidt in the lineup then maybe scratch Swanson, either way TJ is IMO our 2nd best D-man so he needs to be in there. Schmidt is not a D-man, he's a forward playing defense, well he doesn't really play defense, but you know what I mean. He'd make a decent power forward I think.
Hopefully some of our leaders got in some guys' faces last night in the locker room and we can pull this thing together. Chuck better figure out what the hell he's doing. He's got 24 hours to do it or our season is over.
Someone earlier mentioned something about the Cyclones not figuring out Reading's neutral zone trap. It's really not that difficult, or it shouldn't be with our team speed anyways. You can play dump and chase and beat a trap. With our speed there's absolutely no excuse for not beating the trap. The problem is we didn't play dump and chase, we played dump and watch the puck go into the zone. All they gotta do is skate and hustle, they simply didn't want to win last night. |

Schmidt Head will NEVER be scratched because Chuck thinks he is golden. We have asked and asked Chuck what he sees in him, and he defends him til his dying day. It's a shame he won't instead put him in the lineup as a FORWARD though.
Regardless of who gets scratched in return, we NEED NEED NEED Mcelroy in the lineup tomorrow night. REA is being as physical as they get, and if we don't step up (and by step-up I don't mean swinging at someone after the game) we are going to have injuries. They are following through on hits with elbows EVERYWHERE. I haven't heard the status of Renny, but as far as we know now that's one down already.
But yes it continues to baffle me why Mcelroy was not in the lineup last night. Chuck brought Maki instead of Bubba because we needed grit so he sits the grit that we have while waiting on Maki. And if Maki doesn't show up and doesn't have a damn good excuse I'm gonna be even more pissed for passing up Bubba for him. Grrr.. I am trying to trust Chuck right now, so we'll see what he comes up with. |

for the most part i agree. i dont think you can scratch schmidt tho cause lets be honest he was the offense last night...and those were so well placed shots on the pp. i do agree his actual "defense" leaves alot to be desired. that being said i agree TJ bein' in the lineup is a must. and as for maki i am curious as to what exactly his "personal issues" were. and like you cait if he doesnt show that completely blows seein' how at least we knew what we were gonna get out of bubba each night.
and as for elbows after the game if the team could show half that intensity DURING the game they would've at least been in (the game) if not had a chance to win it. and as for the nonsuspension i'd say the team lucked out. at this point i am all for max in net, especially if ceddy is dealing with some sort of injury, but on the bright side at least there's no ebug issues. kinda interesting barret was fined as well. i saw him hit the guy up high at the end but hardly anything to warrent a fine.

| I want the team that dominated Johnstown in the first round. They were bigger and more physical but we were quicker and they couldn't keep up with us. |

How Ego only gets a fine, I don't know. I could have sworn he came off the bench to crosscheck the reading player. when that shift started, he was not on the ice and we were a man down yet we have six players receive penalties in the fracus. I'll take the fine and be happy but we have to be smarter than that. On a lighter note, I would like to know what "obsenity" Macmillan used and what "obsenity" Ego replied with. |

| here's an idea for the line-up that might solve some issues. if reynolds gets scratched (he was pretty out of it after the hit and i don't remember seeing on the ice after it) move schmidt to forward ('cause that's what he thinks he is) and dress tj. |
