My wife had surgery on her right hand this morning and she will be at tonight's game. Talk about dedication. Plus she is my BABY!

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I'd say a fair assessment.

I thought at least 6,000. It seems people didn't show up until the first period started.

I could have sworn this was a sellout. The top bowl had quite a few people there.

Lots of big holes in the lower bowl and the corners weren't very crowded. Maybe more families tomorrow for $1 hot dogs!

seems pretty close on the attendance and sadly i didnt get there till after JMs goal but glad he is getting back on the offensive track. however i must say i was EXTREMELY disappointed in all the people who decided to throw things on the ice. prolly not real fans anyhow but really act like you've been in public before and had a few. hopefully the people who thought that was a good idea WONT be back (no need to see a clone, fan, or even stingray for that matter get hurt).

other than that i enjoyed the game. lookin forward to more of the same tomorrow.

I thought the 5200 was pretty accurate. I predicted 5500. Reason is because we still found a couple of places on the sides to sit instead of our actual seats. Any higher than that and we are off to the real seats.

The wish security would have caught the jackasses who threw stuff after the game just to not let them in tomorrow night (although, since there won't be #1 PBRs, they probably won't be anyway).

Yeah, my cousin, husband, and I did not appreciate having beer thrown all over us! They put a damper on an otherwise excellent and enjoyable game! We'll be back of course, but I hope that kind of idiotic behavior doesn't put off other people who don't know that kind of thing is an abberation.

I agree that the people throwing stuff on the ice were probably "non-regulars." I was pretty disappointed too that people would think that it's ok to do stuff like that, but I attribute most of that to $1 beers. Let's hope it was a non-recurring event.

What you do today can change the course of your life far into the future. Today is critical. Today really counts.

That's exactly why you shouldn't have a $1 beer night, or at least limit it to 4 beers per person. A guy in front of me got up 5 different times during the game and brought back 4 beers each time. Between him and his friend they had about 10 beers each. Another thing I hate is people getting up. I like big crowds because it's more money for the arena/team, but I'm tired of people CONSTANTLY getting up and walking up and down the steps while the game is going on. Then there's the idiots that come in at 8pm and stand on the steps looking around for their seats. Just sit the **** down!!! The ushers might as well take the stops signs that they hold and shove them up their asses. I sit in sec. 114 and the usher there rarely holds his sign up. He just stands there with a blank stare holding the sign down at his side while people just parade down the steps. I'm a very easy going person that doesn't let things bother me much, but this crap has gone on long enough. I've been with with this team since day 1 at the gardens, I don't pay money to look at people's asses as they stand right in front of me blocking my view. Some of them apologize but the majority don't care. They just block my view like I'm not even there. My little sister(she's 11) asked a man to please sit down last night and he turned around and told her to shut up. I then proceeded to say a few choice things to him. He sat down and didn't get up again. I have no idea what to do about it, but something has to be done before next season if we have crowds of more than 3k. Thanks for letting me vent.

I would believe that nothing can be done, until this town embaraces hockey and not $1.00 beer night. we encountered the same problem. It actually started with someone in our seats, which I might add I don't really care about, it's when someone comes to claim their seats that I move into that there is a problem. Then you are confronting a group of already Drunk individuals and who know what would happen then, I really am not interested with my wife and dayghters there having an altercation with a 21 year old, especially without support from competent ushers. I would believe that larger crowds would neccesitate more Cincinnati police department officers. crowds like the ones we have seen towards the end of the season actually have overextended any USBA staff

We should bust out the "This isn't Cleveland" speech like we used to back when people threw crap on the ice.

I sit 3rd row back from the glass. Every game people go down and sit in the front row and I know that don't have front row seats. If they would sit down I wouldn't care but they all seem to want to stand up inches from the glass all game blocking my view of the action. We also have some older guy with a USBA badge that often sits in my area and disappears as each period comes to an end. I am constantly telling people in the front row to sit down so I can see the freakin game and the USBA guy sits there never saying a word. Hopefully he will at least take my side the day I end up in a fight with some of those brick wall people.

I watched a guy in section 117 throw a seat arm rest onto the ice and pointed him out to the usher. The other drunks around him started ragging on me for being a snitch, but I don't play that game of throwing things on the ice. First off, players can get hurt, and second, the ice is sacred. You don't throw things in church!

Game Ending Fight + Dollar Beers + Young Crowd = Garbage On Ice.

Personally, I don't toss stuff-although if I did, then Kiser would be my target this series. I don't think it's too big a deal. It doesn't happen very often. With the face shields and helmets, the probablility of injury to the players is small. I hear that the Columbus Crew actually allows fans to throw crap on the field. Mabey if the Red's allowed it, I'd attend a few more games!

USBA should secure those arm rests, though. Perhaps a bit more attentiveness to unruly fans instead of the ridiculous searches for cameras and candy would be a bit better use of security resources.

I estimated the crowd at about what was announced. I thought 5000 or so. There were a lot of lower bowl sections that weren't very full.An excellent, accurate attendance number in any case.
