air fair and cheap hotel rooms
B/C his wife flys to LV all the time
we will see tho,I can't wait, Lets GO CYCLONES

| A Sunday game at the normal evening time 7:30 will be odd, as will the LV games starting late. Hadn't even thought about that. |

I'll get back tomorrow on my Wrangler's scouting report.We just got home and couldn't
be happier.By the way-Las Vegas reminds me alot like us but Utah looked like Dayton.
During the regular season,Vegas was 10-1 against Utah for their conference final and
we had never played South Carolina before.What a fair system in the ECHL. |

As for the Vegas starting time-they start their games at 7:05PM,the 10PM is
OUR (Eastern)TIME. I was hoping the Vegas part would be Tuesday,Thursday and
Friday. Making the boys stay over Saturday and Sunday to play on Monday is in
Las Vegas's advantage.The coach will have his hands full keeping the focus for
Monday.However-If we win in four you could plan a Monday morning return and give
the players Saturday to Monday morning celebration in Las Vegas !!! |

| not only does the weekend layover in vegas play into their hands but it makes for an expensive trip for those that want to go...hotel rats in vegas have a tendency to skyrocket over the weekends... |

There are still a lot of places off the strip that are still inexpensive. A search for rooms a www.i4vegas.com showed up a number of places for under $70 a night. These are not your upscale strip hotels, but motel like Knights Inn and some Downtown places like Fitzgerald's and Binions.
And if anybody is looking to go down, I often use First Discount Travel in Blue Ash on Cooper Rd. Their deals have always beaten the best deals I have found on the internet. |

First on flights-forget about Cincinnati and think Indy,Dayton and Columbus.As for rooms-
check with Orleans directly.We have stayed there and is a great place.See if you can put
together a package INCLUDING game tickets.We payed $20 apiece for 2nd lowest price per
game and sat slightly goal side of penalty box high up(our choice)and they have only a
bottom bowl.Doubt if they would sell out but don't chance it-I would get tickets ahead of
time. Some other possible low price places are Imperial Palace,Stratosphere,Sahara and
Gold Coast(Orleans sister property next to RIO). |

Travelocity.com offers packages. I just searched and found direct flights from Indianapolis and 5 nights (Thursday check in; Tuesday check out) at the Sahara for $600-single occupancy. Double occupancy would lower this rate. The Orleans-where the area is-was $825.
Buyer beware. Vegas has some real third rate dumps. El Cortez downtown is simply disgusting, I've been told. I stayed at the Sahara about 7 years ago and it was ok. BUT, it's one of the older properties and I'd guess that it's gone a bit downhill since. Just a guess, though. Travelocity has reviews of hotels on their site.
Just a tip: If you are able to do different travel dates, then you may find lower prices. For instance, leave Wednesday come back Tuesday or later. |

Hi all - As this is my first post I thought I would stop in and say hi.
For those traveling to Vegas, don't forget that US Airways and Southwest have non-stop flights out of Columbus. I know that maybe a drive for some of you, but it beats the alternative of going to CVG. Pricing is as low as 330 round trip. As for Dayton, don't forget to check out Airtran's schedule.
Southwest and Airtran do not show their flights/pricing on expedia, travelocity, yahoo, etc. but it gives you all other possible options.
