| I wonder if anyone was actually kicked out for throwing crap. People that brought superballs obviously thought out what they were going to do and should be shot on sight. Just my opinion. |

| Well, I know for a fact the guy that threw the Mt. Dew the first time got thrown out. Everyone in the section (rightfully) pointed to him and I saw the security guard guide him out. |

Shot on sight is too extreme. Drug aound the rink face down behind the Zamboni seems more appropriate.
Honestly, I thought the ref was a bit 'pre-emptive' with the announcement that anything else tossed on the ice would result in a delay of game. It was just two superballs. I still would like to crack the dumb bas$$$$ who did it.

| one of the problems I think here is if the USBA expect bigger crowds they neet to flex up the security staff. A crowd of 9000 is way too big for the event staff they have now |

HEY USHERS-GET DOWN NEXT TO THE GLASS AND LOOK UP AT THE CROWD !!!! You can't spot anyone
from above but idiots won't throw if you are looking up at them.And parents-the aisles are
not your kids romper room.If you bring a 8 year old control him or give him something to
do.Running through aisles and making people get up 50 times for them to pass should not be
an option. |

| The arena staff knew there would be a big crowd last night...dollar beers...and they still DID NOT have ushers for each row preventing people from going to their seats during play. Our section only had an usher for half the game and "fans" were parading up and down all through the game. It is so annoying. |

Something I noticed in comparison between $1 beer nights and $1 hotdog nights.
* The crowd during $1 hotdog nights is louder, albeit smaller. I think it's because drunks can't seem to organize their yelling.
* The crowd during $1 hotdog nights is more focused. No "half the arena is clapping and the other half is chanting "let's go Cyclones" at the same time. Sober people seem to keep rhythm a lot better than drunks.
* More importantly; the people who come to $1 hot dog nights are typically more hockey inclined than the people searching for $1 beers. I can't count the number of times I heard someone either A) having to have the rules explained to them, or B) quoting directly from an Enquirer article to explain what's going on.
I like having the influx of people to the games, don't get me wrong, but I'm of the opinion that the $1 hotdog night crowds are the better crowd. |

| I understand why some arenas won't allow bottle caps...last night I got hit twice by flying bottle caps from fans sitting in the upper bowl behind section 101. Shoot the fools! |

| People who throw stuff onto the ice are mainly a bunch of drunken idiots who are only there to drink $1 beers and not really watch the game. As much as i enjoy the crowd, id take a crowd half that size if we could eliminate all the idiots that come and throw stuff. |

I swear, the people around me were lucky I didn't catch who it was throwing stuff. One definitely came from behind me. My sister said they were instructed to take the people who were throwing stuff on the ice straight to the Cincinnati PD officers in the building. Apparently they weren't just getting thrown out, they were getting arrested.
Damn $1 beers.... I know it's a good way to get butts in the seats, but you don't know how pissed I was last night at those people. I mean, what's the freaking point? You're ruining something these boys have worked so hard for. Throwing Mountain Dew bottles and bouncy balls on the ice does not show your support or get the boys hyped up. When that first Mountain Dew bottle came down, Aubin was right out there picking it up before the ref could give them the delay of game.
Hopefully we won't have to worry about that tonight. $1 hot dogs is a much better crowd as taoistlumberjak mentioned earlier. Better chanting, coordination, less drunk idiots and more actual hockey fans bringing their kids who will be the next generation of hockey fans... |

Low Level Minor League Hockey struggles to put fannies in the seats. If it works, then keep doing it. The original ECHL Clones were a very successful "Beer Fest". In non-traditional hockey markets the overall event/atmosphere is key to being a success. The game is secondary to the casual fan.
That being said, the Clones should probably start making an announcement prior to the game (and perhaps each period)stating that anyone throwing objects onto the ice will be ejected/subject to being arrested. |

Great idea, but it needs to be said more and shown on the jumbotron also.
But, come to think of it....the drunks probably can't read. 
Some arenas put a message on the video board saying..."when the puck is in play, you must stay in your seat!"

| I'm not sure how they are going to contain it. It has happened at the last two packed $1 beer nights. They tried announcing that it would result in a Cyclones penalty and being ejected, but, as touched on, these "casual" fans come strictly for the beer, they could care less about the game being played on the ice. They're throw it anyway. It's pathetic, and I think Wildman need to make the announcement: No throwing things on the ice. You live in Cincinnati, not Dayton/Cleveland. Dayton for the hockey fans, Cleveland for the Bengals fans who are just coming in for the first time to watch a CHAMPIONSHIP team. |
