Great game, great crowd. I just got in. I was hoping for 9 K announced, but it was close enough. We got there at 5 and got tickets and had to get them in row Q in the corner. So we wisely bought ours for tomorrow then, and got our normal seats.
Tonight we did what we did best in the record-setting regular season, capitalized on the PPs, killed the opponent's, and didn't let them get the SOGs they needed. Case closed. |

Weber must have had a nice talk with Schmidt. He played-as did the entire defense-quite well. Aubin played to his size and had a very nice goal.
I think the Las Vegas coach fell victim to the common thinking regarding the Cyclones. It seems as though every team thinks that they can intimidate us. We were 7-3 vs. Elmira-the masters of this style. It's Elmira's style. It's not Vegas'. They were penalized as lightly as we were during the regular season.
I hope that they try the same stuff tommorrow. If they do, then they're looking at 0-2 going back to Sin City.

| I was shocked to see Schmidt play so well, but I was very happy he did. He even got the third star. It was just a perfect all around game for the Cyclones. I thought they played well all 60 minutes and capitalized on LV's mistakes. If they continue to take penalties on us and give our PP those kinds of chances they're gonna see us celebrating with the Kelly Cup on their home ice next week. |

| I know Bryan was playing good today, but he needs to keep that going. He was way to hesitant to take the shot that he scored on and he needs to loosen up and just GO! |

| I think Schmidt is affraid to shoot sometimes because he worries about the D blocking the shot and going the other way.... It was a pretty goal wasn't it? |

| This may be a bit off topic, but did it seem like the Wranglers were slipping and falling more often than our guys? It seemed like they were trying to outskate us or something. It wasn't working very well, if that was the attempt. Besides, you can't outskate our little speen demons (DD, Daoust, Ryan Russel, etc.)... |
What you do today can change the course of your life far into the future. Today is critical. Today really counts. |

| Anyone else have chills the first few minutes of the game? You could feel the boys energy as they were zooming around the ice. Ah, what a way to start this series! |

| Channel 5 had Schmidt on after the game and he was talking about how great the crowd was and how they feed off of that. Let's keep it going tonight!! |
