The way some poster's talk about Dayton or other city's can come back and bite you too. Here is a link to what was said in the Las Vegas Review Journal:

Many of the 6,897 fans in attendance at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati littered the ice with half-filled plastic bottles and cups of beer, shouted obscenities and fired Super Balls at the Las Vegas coaches and players.

Was it that ugly ? I know that once a few jerks threw their cups and bottles, more rained down but not as many as depicted here. I say that this article was written to pump up their team and fans. B S !!

It should never have happened but I still think that story was greatly exaggerated. They make it sound like every Cincinnati fan was involved.

Get Clones instead of Clunkers.

Yeah, I sent Todd an email and just received a response. He even asked if he could use it in the letter to the editor section. He did state that "MANY" was to broad of a word and appologized about that.
GO CLONES !!!

MANY may have been way too strong, but things like this should never happen and the broadness of the POVs of some people may never be understood. I say let the media write what they want because individuals believe what they want regardless.

Besides, its the lies that make me laugh the hardest (looks at article and laughs hysterically)

I am wondering about one thing Saturday and Sunday-who brings "super balls" to a hockey
game? Did anyone go to Taste of Cincinnati and maybe notice them being given out by a
booth or someone. The bottles are easy to explain as well as the caps, but if someone
told people to bring balls with them, they need to be held accountable. I just hope we
get a game 6 chance to redeem our image.

I think the article should be taken for what it really is, and attempt to fire up LV fans for tonights game. Give locker room fodder if you will, A kinda cry to the LV fans to show "WE CAN DO BETTER" And with their attendance numbers I would believe that the Casual hockey fans will not be in attendance. I still consider this un-newswortly, just two teams in a scrum being ultrasensitive. Lastly I stayed late after Sundays game, we were gathering up our 2 year old and our 5 month olds belongings and didn't see the LV goalie get hit with anything. It would have been quite a toss for anyone. If the Likes of City's outside of the Finals were reporting out "EMBARRASING" (sarcasm)behavior then it would be more attention getting for me getting. We need to stop taking this finals so personnaly

I saw 3 people throw something sat nite, and I got on them. I told them to act like we've been here before, and don't look like a Vegas tool.

here's another problem I think that we might have created ourselves from this whole bottle throwing incident. this topic has gotten so much run that if there is a game 6, the super ball throwers and bottle throwers might be planning something bigger. Sounds kinda conspiracy theory to me but usually the throwing is attention getting. This thread has gotten way too much run. We supoport a sport that actually includes fighting..The intent to harm each other as part as a game plan and we are getting bent out of shape by what someone writes about us and the actions of a few? lets drop it! next time you see it report it...or we could have a plan to stop it.

This story was all over 1530 this morning. Bucky69, Heckler, and myself (along with others) called in stating it was a few jackastards who did the throwing and we don't appreaciate it at all !!! It's on Lances Blog and I'm sure it will be on the evening news. The newspaper is trying to create an atmosphere in which the Wranglers can rally around and they did it.

sure it happens, but it also happens at every freaking arena in the world...just be thankful that we don't live in other countires where fences are tore down and people are crushed and chairs are lobbed, and goaltenders are shot because of a loss. I'm sorry, WE ARE LOSING TOO MUCH SLEEP OVER THIS TOPIC" It doesn't happen every game if it did then there would be a problem.

The shame of it is, quite honestly, the actual Las Vegas team folks were, generously speaking, "high maintenance" and a less than generous description might be called "jerks" or worse. That's probably saying too much so I'll cease there.

But, that is the unseen. Bad fan behavior, even if just a few, is what is seen and makes us all look bad. Ironic, huh?

Yeah, we shouldnt lose sleep over it....but I sure didnt like seeing this in their paper today:

"The next three games are here, meaning opportunity exists for the Wranglers to win their first title without returning to the city that sits on the Ohio River and apparently has an ECHL fan base so offensive it makes soccer hooligans seem pleasant." Las Vegas paper sports columnist-Ed Graney
