what about price and halak? is halak getting traded? if any team is pretty well off at goalie montreal was already in that category before this. or does this mean ceddy will just get sent down to hamilton?
either way congradts to him he truly deserves it. |

Cedrick would have to have a magical training camp to be up with Montreal. I am pretty sure that he was Hamilton's property last year, not Montreal's, so a Montreal contract is a much higher honor. What this means is he will most likely be up with Hamilton all year and if someone goes down in Montreal he will be the E-BUG up there.
Montreal lost Yann Danis to the Islanders in free agency which would have been the Habs #3 goalie. Cedrick's bump has to be a result of that. He most likely will be the #1 in Hamilton unless another prospect can beat him out. In any case his days with the Cyclones most likely are over. What a pleasure it has been...
Surpisingly the article did not say he was the MVP of the Kelly Cup playoffs. |

Just going to say it now, i think we may see Cedrick is Hamilton is ok for a started there.
Basically in my eyes I think the Habs will want him where he'll be able to play. |

Outstanding news. A richly deserved NHL contract. It's a two way (AHL/NHL) for certain, but the kid really turned it on here last year. He also played very well for Hamilton at the end of the season.
He's won a Memorial Cup (or finished 2nd-conflicting info) and a Kelly Cup. He's proved his mettle in the post season at every level. Now that Denis is gone, he has earned the right to be a #1 AHL goaltender. I hope he excels at it. I think that he will. |

| Cdeericks bump is a result of one of three things. First, like Tjpavlik said Yann Danis is gone. The second would be that they want their draft pick (G-Jason Missiaen-OHL) to play in Cincinnati. The third would be that Ceddy is a pressure playes as shown by what e has done in the playoffs. Given how poorly Price and Halak performed in the playoffs this year it may be an effort to put some pressure on those guys as well. While I doubt Dejardins will play in the NHL this season, it would not shock me if he gets called up as an EBUG. We may have seen the last of Dejardins in Cincinnati, but believe me when I say I thinks that's a good thing. |

| I agree with that very much Shorty, but at the same time, we will not know for sure what his situation will be. The Montreal organization has seen what the Cyclones have done for Ceddy and various other players and may want him to play here is needed. I am not saying I want him back(I do but he deserves his promotion) but I think Montreal will show us what they think in the coming months here. |

great for ceddy. working with a vet like dennis will be great for him. it is bad for us however. the odds that Jason Missiaen plays here are slim. he just turned 18 and therefore is still eligible to continue playing in juniors. unless he is a phenom why would montreal throw him into the pro game and try to move him along so quickly?
our goal tending situation is going to be shakier this year than in the past 2 years. dov is a UFA with nashville. if he doesn't get picked up elsewhere hopefully he'd like to come back. also i was not disappointed with cody. i think a dov/cody tandem would get the job done just fine. max is a bit of a question mark as well. a lot has to shake out before we know what our goal tending situation is.
