Well that was a great crowd last night. Lance McCallister was
taking great joy in that the attendance of 892 was the smallest
at any hockey game at the arena. It was a big joke to see the
"Homer 1360" ad on the screen knowing at the same time they were
broadcasting the Duck's game!The team seems to be coming together
and very few of us are getting a chance to see them. I hope this
isn't the last year but things better turn around quick.

i agree. it IS a wednesday night and all, but 892...err, not going to cut it. the "homer 1360" ad on the screen... i was also wondering who else found that quite ironic.

maybe people aren't wanting to come back because their tired of hearing texas roadhouse promos after every single whistle.

give away free tickets or something... FILL THE SEATS!

I'll give points to the Cyclones working the crowd last
night but who was the LAME DUCK in the Buzz costume! Why bother
having a race on the ice if one isn't trying.I could see bringing
Buzz out closer to their season but why not bring Clawd out for
some Twister butt kicking now.Did you catch the Wheeling fans
down for the game. My hats off for their dedication.

Something has to be done to get people back at the games and to come back for more then one game a year. I know the Bengals or Reds probably wont or cant give out their season ticket holders names but maybe get all the business who have season tickets. Send them info on group or season tickets. Lets hope next weekend we have 2 decent crowds.

Anyone who has listened to Lance's awful talk show knows he doesn't know **** about **** in the first place, especially hockey. I'm sure there were more people at the game than listen to his godawful talk show.

I can agree about Lance's show,but under 1000 for a game gives
him and others plenty to bash us on. If the roles were reversed
and the Ducks were drawing 1000, he would be bashing them. We can
blame it on Wednesday games,Friday night high school football or
any other reason but bottom line is we have to step up. Next Friday
and Saturday lets all make a try to bring one extra person down.
If your a season ticket holder, use one of those coupons and try
and coax a co-worker, a neighbor or even a Duck fan to see the team.
Let's give the Lance's in town some crow to eat.

You know... one thing that might help get some folks in the arena is some decent, competent marketing. They were virtually invisible during the off-season, that commercial is beyond a joke, and management doesn't seem to be putting their muscle behind the team like they said they would.

By the way, whomever thought up & okayed that Elvis-impersonator concept needs to be demoted to post-game skate sniffer.

They need better marketing and a better team on the ice. This win-lose-win-lose-win-lose .500 hog**** they're playing now just ain't cuttin' it.

Anybody else get the feeling this is the last season? Can you blame anyone for not going? No advertising, promotions non-existent, between periods action lame, a non winning team, pay for parking, etc. It's getting to be more of a chore to go rather than an I'm excited to go thing. I mean how many times can you listen to Wildman promote Texas Roadhouse? Minor league sports is more than just the game-it is the atmosphere surrounding it. This management team doesn't care or doesn't get it.

What this team needs is a good dose of Doug Kirchofer when
he didn't have the arena debt on his shoulders. Every time I
look in the rafters and see that $#%^ jersey of Pete Rose and
no suit coat for Doug K., it reminds me of what is wrong. At
least they do have an ad for the promotion on Friday night but
why not give 5000 sticks and think bold on attendance! After
Wednesday night 2000 may be bold(I'm sorry but I'm frustrated).
All I can say is again try to bring someone along and lets get
this turned around.

Blind1 (sits in front of me), I think has a good idea... Sell all upper-bowl seats for $5 General Admission!! (Sit ANYWHERE you want in the upper bowl for $5!) Plus, another suggestion I've heard [from Puckhead] that sounds good... Bus college students in from the local colleges! Set up a program where on Friday and Saturday night games college students get a special ticket rate and free bus transportation to and from the game!

I would think that would get some people in the seats.
