How do you describe the Wednesday game but one team being lucky (us) and the other team being bad (Dayton). Randy was his usual event a minute in goal with the pipes making more clean stops them him, but he did only give up one glove side high goal in the third period. The defense looks pretty good but offense is still pretty offensive to the nose(THEY STINK). Another positive was the great play of Mike Hanson. He was in everybody's face and really playing hard. If we could get one solid scorer, this team could really make a move.
my interpretation: i realize everyone seems to want to diss randy right away... BUT he won the game for us wednesday in my opinion. i think he would of had the shutout if it weren't for our DEFENSE. you can only let a team dominate a full period of hockey before they score. the goal he let in wednesday was a dayton powerplay that was buzzing around w/out being touched. get some D on them and maybe we can clear the zone. randy has played his ass off the last couple games and my hat is completely off to him. i notice a lot of our passes and shots going easily off our sticks onto opposing players. seems we are making a lot of basic mistakes out there. if we can sharpen up a bit, we might be able to put a few more goals away. hopefully we can get a good win streak going.
I've been one of the folks who have criticized Randy but these last two games have made me reconsider. He kept us in the game against Johnstown and matched Bujar Amidovski save for save.
It's my hope that with Prosoffsky back, the offense can start to pick up. And what I wouldn't give to have Joe Cardarelli back in a 'clones uniform.
Can't agree with Gonz more. I've been very critical of Trukker's play in the early going, but these last three games he's been the only thing keeping us in the game.
When did we start coasting and turning over the puck so much. This team is not playing like the team we saw at the start of the season.
